GLE63 shift paddles compatible on GLE350 steering wheel?

Does anyone know if the AMG GLE63/63s shift paddles are compatible on the standard GLE350 steering wheel? I looked at mercedesbenzstarparts.com, and the diagram shows what appears to be a normal GLE350 shift paddle, so the diagram is not helpful. Looking at GLE63s interior photos, the GLE63 vehicle with AMG steering wheel has longer shift paddles. Thanks for any comments.

All GLE's use the same paddle shifters, including the GLE63S. The angle the photo was taken at and the tilt adjustment of the steering wheel can make them more or less visible, giving the illusion that they're longer, but they're actually the same.

I dont know the answer but wanted to say that when I was looking into changing the steering wheel on my GLE I found that the GLE 63 had different part numbers for the paddles. Of course, the GLE 63 paddles might still fit, or even be the same with a different part number. I never got as far as actually looking at the parts irl.

I just checked again, the GLE63 paddles are not the same as what I have in my GLE350.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...lickType=alpha

Check photo 25 of 34 in the above listing for the GLE63 paddles.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...Type=spotlight

Check photo 12 of 26 in the above listing for the GLE350 paddles. Not the same to my eye. Has anyone retrofitted the 63 paddles into a 350 steering wheel?

As johbe646 notes the part numbers are different. The photos are different. The paddles must be different. I think there is a 63 at my local dealer, I will take a look.

Try googling the part number if you find it. Sometimes you can find photos of the part itself.

As johbe646 said, you can google the part numbers and see what you come up with. Most likely they can't be switched. The GLE63 ones are aluminium paddles whilst the regular ones are plastic. On GLE63s with the leather/wood steering wheel option, the paddles get changed from aluminium to the black plastic ones on the regular GLEs. Knowing AMG, I don't think they would've made the switch if they didn't need to. TL;DR: I don't think you can interchange paddles.

Looked closely today at a GLE63s. The shift paddles look to have the same base/fitment into the steering wheel as the standard GLE350 paddles. Only way to tell is to buy the 63s paddles and try them, a $350 experiment. Probably will pass on this mod.

Greetings, new to this section as my wife decided she liked the GLE so she's happily picked up a Palladium GLE 350 with the fancy heated/cooled cupholders. Apparently quite a rare option package in the wild...
Anyways, from my experience with wheel/paddle swaps over on my W204 C63, if the airbags are the same, and switch setup is same, then as a rule of thumb the entire steering wheel will swap and be compatible. Now, as for just the paddles, I'd say there's a good chance the 63S paddles will fit. Not sure what part numbers you guys found when looking at the diagram, but I found the following at $158. Note all the various models it says it's compatible with. So, at a $158 experiment, someone should try it. I bet you'd be able to tell rather quickly without even opening the package if the paddle will fit in the 350 wheel. You could order from a place with a easy return policy etc. [EDIT] You can always check these out too, had my eye on them for my C63. Looks like they have the right fitment but I'd call and inquire: https://autotecknic.com/collections/...14469567348778

Our new 2016 GLE. I'm very pleased with it.
