Hello everyone I am new to this forum. My first benz was a W164 2010 ML350 (RIP). I just purchased a W166 2017 GLE350. I love everything about it EXCEPT the steering wheel does not adjust up and down very far. It literally only moves about 1/4" up or down. I wouldnt mind if it wasnt for the fact that at my height (5'11") there is no position in the drivers seat that the top of the steering wheel doesn't block the upper dash deisplay and half the gauges. Is this normal? I purchased it CPO so there is warranty aplenty. Please help. Thank you in advance.

i have a 2017, and I haven't measured it. But it moves as much as tilt steering wheels do in other cars, I don't really notice any limits, it works as expected, so you might have something blocking yours.

I have a 2016... I just measured it and there is 3 inches of travel. Off to the dealer for some warranty work on your car!

I just bought a used '17 a few months ago and had the same issue with the wheel blocking the upper part of the dash. It's a bad motor in the steering column, which is apparently quite common. Have the dealer fix it, and it will be much better.

6’3” and I have the same problem, I need the wheel to raise at least an additional inch!
