I didn't realize that. Now, that really pisses me off! I don't like companies that drop support for previous models. I don't lease. I buy my cars. Do they expect people to buy a car every two years!

My Understanding - Verizon - the real creator of the "original Mercedes Me app" dropped the ball on their end on follow thru for Remote Diagnostics as they had previously committed to implement - on Verizon's part they did correctly claim that consume add-on revenue for MercedesMe was much lower than projected.

The falling out on non-delivery of continued advancing features which was one major reason Mercedes moved forward to ATT/MercedesMeConnect (MMC).

I’ve been using last three years. Love it. Remote start at a game or track meet is a Godsend. I use the Send2Benz more than anything

I used to use the Send2Benz feature quite frequently. Now, the whole COMAND Nav system has been replaced by WAZE (via Android Auto). But i still get the MB annual updates to the Nav database. When it comes to navigation, I always like to have multiple choices.

There are "two" separate apps, Mercedes Me and Mercedes Me Connect. I can't find this setting in Mercedes Me. It must be determined by location. I don't have Mercedes Me Connect, as it's only for 2019 models. Maybe it's buried in the "Settings".

Yeah, I honestly looked ALL over. On the online page of Mercedes Me - its all in km etc. But in the app, its all in miles. My location is set to Canada, but I dont think the app has the option to change it yet. Ive looked everywhere.

If anyone does find anything, do keep me posted.

Apparently, the app isn't synced to the website. Try this:

1. You said your location is set to "Canada". I'm assuming you mean on the website. Log out of the MM website.
2. Clear your browser's cache. If you don't know how to do this, close your browser and reboot your computer.
3. Log back into the website.
4. Log out of the app on your phone.
5. Reboot your phone.
6. Log back into your phone's app.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the app. Reboot your phone. Then, do a clean install of the app and log in.

Thanks so much for the very detailed reply.

I tried all of those things. The website does in fact show everything in km. Its only the phone app itself that is in miles. I did all that you mentioned but always ends up the same. Perhaps the app is not yet set up for it and needs to be updates?

This may very well be the case. Under "Menu", go to "App Support". Contact them and advise them about this bug. Whenever a new version of any app is released to address a bug, it's due to consumer complaints. If they don't know a problem exists, they can't fix it.

Just got it figured out. Its a PHONE setting issue.

You have to go into Settings > General > Language & Region > Region - and here make sure you have to correct region (Canada for me).

Then go back into the app and all should be in the units desired.

Latest Version of Mercedes Me

Just today I noticed they have a new version of Mercedes Me. I installed it and immediately noticed you have to "activate" the new app by calling Customer Service. I never did. Instead, I uninstalled the new app and re-installed the last version. If you call to activate the app, they will undoubtedly ask for a credit card no. If you forget to cancel your MM service at the end of the 5-year complimentary membership, they're entitled to automatically charge you full price for the next year's service. They're counting on you to forget to cancel. When I initially signed up, I used a temporary credit card no. It expired 24 hrs. after using it. That way, even if I forget to cancel, they can't charge me because the credit card no. is no longer valid.

Are you in Android or Apple?, and what version is it that makes do the CC? Need to make sure that I don't update to that version, and turn auto updating off on that app...

The best way to determine if this will work is to contact the seller and give them your VIN. To those who don't know, your VIN is not merely a meaningless array of numbers. Each number/letter is a code that identifies your car's features. That's why insurance companies don't need to ask what features your car has. They can tell by the VIN. Also, police can tell if a VIN is fraudulent because they have the means to decode VIN's. E.g. VIN indicates 4 doors, but the car actually has two doors.

I have Android. Version 2.4.3 was just released today. I went back to Version 2.4.2.1. Version numbers should be the same across both platforms.

Of course, you could update. Just be sure to give them a temporary CC number.

Just a matter of time before they force the update to all users and that will be unfortunate. I use it primarily for the remote start feature, which I do enjoy during the summer. I have switched over to using the navigation on my phone much more than on Command since it updates much more frequently than once a year and I can update it myself. It doesn't require a visit and several hours at a dealership. I guess if they force a charge or CC I can either just install an after market remote starter if I want to still have that capability.

I just tried updating the app again to Version 2.4.3. This time it did not ask me to contact customer service. I think somehow I got logged out during the last attempt and that's why it was asking that. The only noticeable difference with the new version is this:

The new Activity Feed, accessible in the main menu, lets you view a rundown of your latest activity in the app.

Want to quick update this thread.. did anyone receive an email from MB Corporate apologizing for the issues with the app lately? I was just recently in for service and asked the service adviser about it and she said that everyone complains, she has the same issues with her own MB C-class.

Now today, when i get logged into the app its saying both my accounts have no active subscriptions to mbrace and I need to call and activate. Both of my vehicles should still be under the original 5 year no cost option. Is anyone else getting this?

I did get the email as well, saying that it was not working. Last week, as I recall, there were days that it didn't connect to the car at all. I have not tried today to see what is going on with it.

My one big gripe with the app is that it literally takes it 30-60 to LOAD, and I have a smoking fast phone, so it's not my phone's issue. That is the one thing that needs to get resolved with the app as well, but they didn't indicate whether that was something that they were working on. Just the fact that the service wasn't available...
