Exhaust options?

Anybody knows or has sources of people modifying their GLE43/450's exhaust?

I love how it sounds now and I was wondering If I wanted it louder what are my choices? The only company I saw was GTHAUST and they don't have any sound clip or video of it installed.

Hi, I changed the muffler with 2 separate glass pack mufflers and the result was not good at all. Sound was better at low rpm but it lost completely the crackles and pops! After 2000 miles I put it back to stock. Sorry I don’t have vids. It it was to lame to record, I just wanted to get rid of them!

"Maxhaust" Active Sound Booster

I came across this completely by accident. I thought this is exactly what you guys have been looking for. The coolest part of all is that it's fully operational via original controls in your vehicle, or by the app. Now, if you can only find a U.S. installer. If not, maybe you're handy enough to do it yourself.

I actually don't like the engine sound when I first got the car. It's kind of annoying in the city every time the engine rev above 1600. I think the engine noise comes up too early. But now I am kind of used to it, and it's not so bad. The exhaust is good. I like the popping.

My piece of advice is that you can try to straight-pipe the exhaust for a period to see if you really like loud exhaust. It costs you nothing but labor and you'll have the options to go ahead or revert it to the factory setup.

The nice thing about the Maxhaust is that you can turn it on or off at will as well as adjust the volume. Don't want to **** off your neighbors? Then wait until you're out of the neighborhood to turn it on.

No. Maxhaust uses a separate active booster (speaker), which electronically produces a sound that supplements your existing exhaust sound. The GLE43 uses baffles inside the mufflers. These baffles move in line and out of line to alter the exhaust sound.
