Best Forum for GLE 43 Coupe?
I swear I’ve looked up and down the forums list and could not find one specifically for GLE 43 Coupe. Could someone please point me in the right direction if there is one, or what the best alternative would be?
I plan to search for and buy a 2017 GLE 43 Coupe within the next 3-5 months.
Areas of interest:
1. Quality issues and cost of maintenance. I plan to request the standard maintenance list and costs from my dealer, but am interested to understand first hand thoughts and experiences.
2. I’m curious what the lease end buyout is for most people. Based on a nationally advertised lease, there could theoretically be 3 year old vehicles with ~30k miles for $40k. I understand the dealer may need to perform maintenance, put on brakes, tires, etc. Let’s say that is $5k ... I see dealers asking for up to $60k on these used. My opinion is the lease residual is low, then dealers price them used as if they had ~75% residual. There are too many variables that will impact the price, but this is what I’ve gathered in my research. Again, I’m just interested in some first hand thoughts and experiences.
3. Best options for an exhaust on the AMG 43 which sounds closer to the 63 S?

There is a GLE43 forum inside of the W166 GLE forum.
Quality wise the W166 platform is one of the most, possibly the most, reliable Mercedes products in recent years. The W222 also seems good. This comment applies to the base body structure and chassis (steering, suspension and brakes). Electrics and electronics are reasonably well sorted.
The GLE43 uses the twin turbo variant of the M276 V6. It is a low-ish volume engine but broadly applied by M-B. No glaring, systemic issues have surfaced. The base M276 block, crank and rods are robust. Differences will be in the pistons, cams, heads, intake and exhaust.
