I am pretty new to this group and to my GLE Coupe. I was wondering has anyone had a chance to upgrade their infotainment system to 12.3" Android screen. I am planning to purchase this and want to install it in my vehicle. I have few questions before I actually pull the trigger. If anyone has done this installation, please let me know! I would love to ask some questions. Thanks in advance!
GLS and GLE is the same. It shouldn't matter other than the connections since it is a screen and Android unit. Again, make sure it is ordered for your car and not the GL since the connections may be different. It will mirror the screen as is and will perform as an Android tablet when in the Android mode.

Got it, I do see it in 4x4shop site. Are you rocking any custom infotainment system?
I installed the 12.3 over the last weekend into my GLK350.
Still wrestling with unit and support.
Also install was not really straight forward and documentation is incomplete.
If you can wait a few days I will hopefully have resolved all the issues with them.

I installed a 12.3 screen in my w212 e class was fine now every time I tap the telephone icon it goes back to the old style screen. has anybody got any idea what i have done wrong?
Which telephone icon are you pressing and what old style screen does it show? Have you connected your phone via bluetooth to the android or OEM side of things? Are you using CarPlay?
I've installed the 12.3 MTK unit (Android 10) from 4x4 on my 2018 GLC 63S and have not encountered any issues so far, it's all been great.

FWIW I've installed the Nova Car Launcher and customised the background, icons and installed some new widgets. I'll upload some pics when I get a chance.

It has it own sim but it is the telephone one that make calls, not the phone connect one, every time i click on it or touch it. it goes back to the home screen the same as the ngt car home screen.
For Nova Launcher: Go to Google Play on the Android unit and download the Nova Launcher app. Then in the Android Settings, got to Apps & Notifications. Scroll down and select Default Apps. Then under Home app, any launchers you download from Google Play will show up here, and you just select the one you want. At anytime you can use this same setting to switch back to the default launcher (called Launcher).
Shaun Reeman: For your phone connect, try changing the Default app for your Telephone under Android Settings - > Apps & Notifications -> Default App.
I have a SIM in my unit as well, but only use it for data. I prefer to use the CarPlay wireless for my phone connections. Yours should still work without defaulting back to the NTG screen, so it will just be a setting you need to change.
