GLE63 / GLE63 Coupe Picture Thread

Those polished lipped wheels are awesome. That’s the type of wheel I want. In fact, I almost got these and was about to pull the trigger on polished flat lip with black satin face and silver bolts but just couldn’t stomach the near $10k price tag.

Here are some pics of my brand new 2022 GLE63s, freshly wrapped in xpel stealth. Original car color was Selenite Grey. Will likely start a separate thread for those who want to know more and see some of the videos of the process.

I remember seeing 22 inch wheels at SEMA in the late 80s.
What wild and crazy things they were back then!

Nice build, you'll love the premium leather.
It looks like you chose the Heated Steering wheel, over the AMG one with the quick controls. Can I ask why?

this was a unit already sitting in the showroom so not much of a choice. I would have loved to get the quick controls over steering wheel but in weather like today, I can’t complain (30 degrees in NYC)

I have a 2022 63 coupe. Using it as a daily I just leave it in comfort and turn the exhaust on. On the rare occasion I go to Sport+ or Race I just hit the switch by the touchpad. I much prefer the heated steering wheel as I get a lot more use out of it. Most likely I wouldn't have used those steering controls as much and turns out I was right. To each their own. Congrats on the new ride. You'll absolutely love it.

I personally ordered mine with the full dinamica wheel and buttons, without heating. I've never had an issue with my BRZ's alcantara wrapped wheel in NYC winters (although I do regret having a steel shift knob in the winter...)

Well if you really want the buttons, there are retrofit kits: https://rjautomotive.net/products/am...ttons-retrofit

I use my buttons all the time. Probably more than my turn signal.
It's my daily driver (and track car) (and tow vehicle). It has several "personalities," and the buttons give me access to various combinations.
Not entirely necessary, but I guess it gives me a sense of Control over the Machine, which is rare these days with all the Nannies.
Edit- I debated between Heated Wheel and the AMG Alcantera one. My SA gave me some AMG driving gloves and got me off top dead center. Good advice from him. The Alcantera is a reasonable substitute for Heated.

Newly blacked out rims and decals. What do you think?
Looks great! Did you wrap or paint the roof black? Is it black satin wrap? Curious to see if you blacked out the front grill or not? Thx thinking of doing something like this to my white 63s. Thx for the response!

here is my new 2023 GLE53. Loving it for the few miles I drove it to the customs shop.
It is in for a ceramic coat, black badges, full de chrome (the bits Merc miss!) and then off next week for the Brabus B53 500 kit

Less than one week of ownership and I’ve already lowered the GLE and added a JB4 for a little more power. So far so good. Next will be blacking out all the chrome bits and a few aero parts.
