Found this beautiful 2017 GLE63S with 17k miles. Bought new in June of 2018 so lots of warranty still left. Love it so far!
My questions-
1. Add running boards? I'm torn. Kinda like the look without but not sure. Would the mount right over the side skirts that are on there now?
2. Love sport+ mode. How do I get more pops and growl? Tune?
3. Read about the lowering module sold on Amazon. Seems easy enough. Any concerns?
The GLE63s vehicles with running boards that I have seen do not have side skirts. This suggests to me that the skirts need to be removed, to install the running boards. I have running boards on my GLE350 and I like the look, also like the look of the running boards on the GLE63s.

I like the look of running boards but doubt I would ever add them to mine. I don't have the Performance Exhaust option on my GLE63s but it actually sounds better than my 2016 E63s with Performance Exhaust that does not have enough pops and crackles.

I have a ‘17 GLE 63s, also black with running boards. I have to say I like the cleaner look without them. They do replace the side skirts. Thing to keep in mind, is the material is black plastic, vs body painted (Obsidian black in my case) door and they never blend especially when the car is clean. But that’s probably just me being a bit obsessive. They do help when I’m washing and trying to clean the roof.
Yeah I did notice that I would be replacing painted side skirts with plastic. So decided to go without running boards. More sporty IMO and I already had clear bra applied.
