Just purchased and awaiting delivery of a CPO 2017 GLE63s and I had a question.
The front bumper of the car has a “special edition” emblem and I was wondering what that meant. I could not find anything online when I searched it, so was hoping someone on the forums might know a bit better about it.
Picture for reference attached. Zoom in to the lower lip of the car and you’ll see what I mean. It’s not a sticker that was placed by the owner. It’s actually like a plaque sort of thing.
Please post interior photos. There was one for sale a while back with Atlanta Falcons embroidery and other logo appliqués. Is this vehicle something similar?

No this definitely does not have any special embroidery or anything on the inside. What makes it even more peculiar is the dealership "edited" this out in the pictures that they put online for the car (duplicated the white space). So I actually reached out to the dealership to see what is "special edition" about this car, besides it being a special order.
Will keep you folks posted if no one here has the answers.

No such thing from Mercedes directly. It has the night package. Good combo white with night package.
I received an update just a couple of days ago. So apparently the dealership doesn’t know how or why the sticker got onto the car and says it really has no meaning. They will be taking it off for me.
I believe since the car was debadged by the previous owner might have something to do with it. Regardless, they’ll remove it.
Could it be similar to the "Grand edition" package? We have this package on our 2019 GLS400, it has the badges on both fenders. It basically contains a special leather, wood combo.

I don’t think so. This has the carbon fiber trim and the piano laquer. Looks a bit tacky to me so I’m going to get it taken off.
The GLE63 (S and Non-S) never got any special edition version, it's always been in its regular form. It's just something the previous owner tacked on to make themselves feel special.
