The Best of Mercedes & AMG

What do you do during the cold temp or winter? Do you have summer performance tires on your wheel?
I live down in south, and for 22" wheels, there is only one all season performance Prielli Scoripion zero
tires @ about $900 each.
For all others, it is summer performance - $450 to $700 each.. - conti contact 5p to michelin sport 4s
I am not trying to nickle and dime here but with stagger tires, they will probably get me 15k usage at best.
I may go with 21" rim over 22" option. I am not buying it for track and am too old to drive too fast around the town. We have about 6 freezing days out of one year.
My other fear was the longevity of the 22" wheels on tough roads. But, if it is making it in manhattan, it may be ok.
Our old A6 high profile tires had the tough time in New Haven CT with many pot holes.

I wouldn't want to use them in high-snow areas but for the limited snow, cold temp, weather in St. Louis - they work just fine.
Good luck.

GLE 53 has lot more 21" wheel options and for the long run, it may create less maintenance costs with bit less torque and speed.

With your help, I am not restricted on 21" wheels on my search for our dream retirement vehicle.
