Does anyone know of a fix to add Apple CarPlay to my 2016 GLE63s AMG. I tried buying the dongle from eBay to add it and that did not work. The dealership said that it did not have it but I refuse to believe that in this day and age that it’s impossible to add. Any ideas or fixes would be appreciated.

I believe that 2016 was a transition year for Apple carplay support. For the 2016 model year, GLEs built after Jan 8, 2016 have carplay. Those built before that do not. It's a completely different head-unit so adding a dongle isn't going to work. The only way to add it is to replace the head-unit w/ one from a later build or 3rd party Android-based system.
