How to find GLE with E-Active Body Control

From what I'm reading, I think only the 2020 coupes had E-Active Body Control. I'm in the market to buy, and really want the extra comfort of having a fully active suspension. I've reached out to local dealers, who do not have anything matching this in stock (I'm in Southern California). Was hoping this forum might provide suggestions on where else to look. Basically I just care about it being a GLE Coupe and it having E-Active Body Control. Thanks!

Really the only thing that matters is it having E-Active Body Control. GLE 43 or 53 or 63 is all fine with me.

2021 GLE 53 AMG Coupe
MB doesn’t make GLE 43s anymore. Only 53 & 63.

Only MBs - the best or nothing
In addition, E-ABC is not available for 53 and 63. E-ABC was only available for 2020 450 and 580 (SUVs, none of them are coupes). This is for the US market. However, if the OP is abroad, then V167 line up could be different.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what’s the difference between E-ABC and the now available Active Ride Control? Is one better than the other?

For the US, E-ABC was offered only on 2020 450/580 (as I understand its being discontinued for V167 for now due option's cost) while ARC is AMG calibrated and is offered only on 53/63 AMGs 2021-on. As I recall the difference in detail was discussed at V167 non-AMG forum.

I thought EABC was available as an option on 2020 Coupes. It hard to find definitive information but here's a random youtube video:

I am in the US. Can anyone else confirm if I'm looking for something that doesn't even exist? I don't want a regular SUV. I only want a Coupe with EABC.

Awesome... my next question, naturally, is what else can I do to chase this down? I want this car, and I live in California. I don't mind flying to Germany if I need to, and shipping back a car. Thoughts / advice?

I think you’re SOL. I don’t think you’ll be able to import it into the US as the non-AMG models where this option is available are not sold in the US.

Well that sucks.

What other models have E-ABC that are available in the US? S Class? Wife wants a super super smooth comfortable ride.

On the GLE AMG53, the Option #465 AMG Active Ride Control (ARC) is available only with the DE6 AMG Dynamic Plus Package. It is the AMG version of E-ABC, and includes active sway bars, in that way similar to E-ABC. It also includes many other AMG features. It's on the "Configure" page of MBUSA. https://www.mbusa.com/en/vehicles/build

The ARC is performance oriented, but also slightly improves comfort over the standard air suspension, but it's still "sporty." It sure does corner flat.

The E-ABC is more comfort oriented, but IMO it still retains the tall SUV "tippy" feel, although it can lean into curves. As a driver it's disconcerting, but passengers don't seem to notice it. This would be less of an effect with the Coupe, which is less tall and shorter wheelbase.

If you are looking for that jumping action, the ARC does not provide it. Just E-ABC, and you may be relegated to the used market to find that currently unavailable feature.
If comfort is the driving factor, have you driven a Coupe with air suspension and tires inflated correctly?

If you want the smoothest and most comfortable ride the S class or Maybach would be the way to go. I definitely would not be looking at an AMG or SUV.

The S class with the std airmatic suspension is a great riding vehicle and I’m not sure the e-abc is actually needed.

Or standard GLS if she’s looking for an SUV. The ride is on par with the S class.

So I have Active Body Control on my 2017 GLE 43 It is a great addition, but does not provide "float on air" comfort, Rather the ride is firm and very little body roll when cornering. Once you drive a larger performance SUV with it you don't want one without it. I recently test drove an Aston Marin DBX and it handled great but my GLE 43 actually was a bit tighter in handling on curvy road ( but my 43 does lack huge gobs of power and torque as with my tune, I'm only getting about 410 HP). Good luck in your search
