Also our 911 GTS allocation came same day (a year earlier than expected) so it made the decision easier (/end subtle brag)
Hope you weren't expecting to use it as a tow vehicle for your GTS....

Maybe just to take a picture and pretend I actually towed with it.

Just in case I missed this earlier, I already have a GLE53, I wanted to place an order for another one with the options I regretted not getting the first time around.

2023 GLE AMG53
Newby here, looking for some assistance or direction. I hope this is an ok place for this, I was looking for a generic "buying" forum but did not see one?

I am TRYING to order a 2023 GLE53W4 within 300 miles of North Alabama... I have reached out to 9 different dealers and struck out on all so far.
They either have no allocations or they want above MSRP (one as high as $15K over!) or the dealer in Atlanta says you cant get a 2023 Standard (non coupe) model at all.

I did find one thread where a few dealers in Texas and one in Orlando were recommended but those are a bit farther out than I would like. (Still might consider it though!)

My Questions:
1. Anyone have a recommended dealer / sales person in the Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, North Florida areas that would order and sell at MSRP?

2. Any idea why the Atlanta dealer would keep telling me the only 2023 models available are the coupes? Picture of his error below...
I suggested he try different options but he said it didnt matter, the non coupe simply wasn't available...

dealer error

Try asking your dealer to search nationwide for a car in inventory that matches your spec.

If they are willing and have a relationship that facilitates a dealer transfer, you may find a close match.

I appreciate the feedback, unfortunately they aren't even willing to look into it without a heavy markup.

The price is really my bigger issue, I am willing to wait, if I can get one at MSRP...

Start calling out of town? Some brands/dealers are not taking out of state orders, but it's worth a try. If it's even a $5k markup you're saving, consider it a free vacation/trip to a location to pick up your new car.

2024 X5 M60i, 2018 C63S Coupe (sold)
So my dealer just called me regarding the GLE 53 order I placed in August 2022. Originally he was optimistic I could take delivery by December 2022, but then that got pushed to the end of January 2023. Now he tells me it won't be built/delivered until March 2023. He told me the reason for the delay was because of the color (Diamond White) but he said GLE 53 in other colors they have on order were also pushed to March too, so he wasn't really sure what was going on other than speculating about part shortages and the implications from the looming facelift.

He said he'd hold my allocation as-is in case I still wanted the car in March but I asked him to put me on the list for 2024. We'll see. I hate the new steering wheel but maybe the facelift will add wireless carplay or something.

Based on the MB netstar pages my dealer showed me last week when I found out my 2023 order never got allocated, it sounds like you'll likely be getting a 2024 as well.

Did your dealer actually show you the order status page that said March 2023 build date? If the order wasnt allocated prior to 12/9, then you wont be getting a 2023 model.
The page I was shown showed that all C and GLE 2023 orders were closed 12/9.

I just took delivery of my ‘23 AMG GLE63. Originally supposed to come in Dec ‘22, put deposit down May 2022 but was not allocated at the dealer until Sept. It was Diamond white as well.

When I placed the order (in August), the dealer didn't have any available allocations but was predicting they would get some in September and likely build/delivery in December. I got an allocation with a PO# in October 2022, about 45 days after I placed the order, and that's when the dealer told me the earliest would be build/delivery in January. Today is when he called me to tell me that delivery would now be March, and asked if I still wanted the car. I told him no, and he told me he would keep my allocation just in case I changed my mind in March, and that's when I told him to just put me on the list for 2024.
