Brake Pads - 2021 AMG GLE63S

What options are out there beside OEM for replacing the front and the rear pads? Anyone use EBC Red, Hawk Ceramic or Powerstop Z26?

You'll be the first, perhaps. Many get pads from FCP Euro for the lifetime warranty

I just tried PowerStop Z26 and swapped them out for Brembo Discs and Brembo Cermaic Pads as stopping was horrible and the build up inside the disc vents was horrible.

Confused a little. So, the Brembo ceramic pads were horrible?

Did you notice the number of bad reviews of that seller, and read any of them?

I found the front pads at a great price from AutohausAZ, but they do not seems to have the rear pads. I was at an M-B dealership today and they told me the part numbers are 0004204603 for the front pads, and 0004203705 for the rear pads, but several parts seller web sites show that as an incorrect rear pad part number for my 2021 AMG GLE 63S. The dealer list prices for the pads are $214.70 for the front set, and $305.90 for the rear set.

Brembo option does not seem to exist with the seller for 2022 AMG GLE63S. Anyone have any luck otherwise?

Sadly, not yet. I have the high perf brakes on my GLE53 and this is what I got from Brembo when I asked about replacement pads:
Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have pads for this vehicle.
Sorry and have a great rest of the day.

Thank you for choosing BrembostoreUSA.com!

Sincerely,

Mina

It turns out that 0004203705 is the correct part number for the rear pads on my 2021 AMG GLE 63S. It has the red calipers, six piston in front, four piston in the rear. I went to a different Mercedes-Benz dealership and got them for significantly less than what Fletcher-Jones wanted for them. Now I know that the dealership parts prices vary.

Has anyone done a write up of the brake pad replacement? I've done the brakes on other vehicles but the Benz scares me with all of the sensors and whatnot.

Thanks,

C

I believe the brake sensor are only on the passenger side. They are not rocket surgery. Similar type of sensor used in my 23 year old E55.
