The third dash button mystery!!

I've noticed that my own and every GLE63s / GLE63 I've looked at has a blank button on the dash. It's the third button over next to the "cooled seat" button. I've looked at dozens and dozens of cars online but every car has this blank button. Does anyone know if there is something that is supposed to go there? Seems odd that Mercedes would have intentionally left a blank button....but I've never seen a car with anything there.

One the GLE450, it is for controlling the passenger seat, if you have that option.

I think it's for the optional Rapid Seat Heating that my GLE63S has. If you post a pic of those buttons, I can verify.

should be this ^

Found pic online, symbol has a seat with a letter "R" on it.

Press it, light turns on, now your controls will control the passenger (R) seat, I don't have cooled seats but I have passenger seat memory and that's how it works.

Thanks for the replies, but the buttons on the 2016-2019 GLE63s are on the dash for the heat/cooling of the seat. Tried to find a picture online but not sure how to upload.

It's not labeled in the 2019 GLE owner's manual either - weird.

Think I found it - heated steering wheel perhaps?

Okay you got me all over the internet looking for this.

I had to find a UK 2015 GLE manual. It's an Auxiliary heater button, looks like they have a "Furnace" that runs off gas but is separate from the engine. I skimmed the manual so if someone wants to really read it and correct me, please do.

Thanks for sharing. That empty button has been bugging me. I guess this is not an option for the US? Still, on a car as loaded as these, it seems odd to have a blank button. I think it's the only blank button in the entire car!!

My car is US and has all three. There is also a blank button in the rear because if you have the heated seats in the rear option they use the standard two piece button switch gear. The second button is for cooled seat which of course the rear does not have
