Brake Caliper Mounting Bolt Torque
Help! I can't seem to find the torque specification anywhere. The bolts are metric 12 diameter, class 10.9. I've found torque charts (many, some too simple) which indicate that dry zinc-plated 10.9 M12 bolts should be torqued to 78.9 Foot Pounds. My 2021 AMG GLE63S has the Brembo-made calipers which have to be removed to change the pads.

This is for code U70, which is the brembo unit on my 2022 GLE53. It's for a 2019 spec, but likely hasn't changed. 120Nm. Hth.
@chassis - or other more knowledgeable folks - is this right?

Or ask @konigstiger if he can access WIS for V167. Is WIS for C190 on this site somewhere?

Aha, ty. I shouldn't have assumed the red Brembos are the same between 21 and 22, and the 53 and 63. They are fantastic units for stopping power. What mileage are you at that you're changing pads? I'm just shy of 20k.

I did search this site!. Mine does not have the common 6-piston types with the pads removed while the caliper is still mounted. I did buy one Mercedes manual software, a nuisance to install, and it does not cover my vehicle!

It appears not. Have you looked into WIS from eBay?

Bummer. A suggestion is to compare the bolts on your calipers to prior-gen bolts and use the same torque spec if the bolts are the same. Ask the guy at the dealer parts counter to pull out a bolt from the prior-gen W166 AMG GLE63 and compare it to the current model V167.
Another idea is to call an indy shop and ask them for the torque spec. Maybe they will tell you, maybe not. The phone call costs nothing.
Generic torque spec tables are not applicable because MB (and Porsche btw) specify torque + angle.
