Need advice on a purchase of a 2016-2018 GLE63s

Need advice on purchasing a 2018 GLE63 with 85k. Been in a minor front end accident before on carfax. What is a good price on this? Any advice on inspection of what to look for? He said it needs brakes.
Is the mileage still good even tho its 85k? For around this miles what maintenance is needed?
Would appreciate advice.

Thanks

It's going to need ignition coil packs if they haven't been done. It's going to need spark plugs if they haven't been changed. It's going to need a transmission service if it hasn't been done. It's going to need front and rear rotors if they haven't been done, not just pads. Air suspension should be good. Tires only last about 10k miles on these cars so just FYI. Those are just the big items to think about. Coolant flush (not sure on interval), brake fluid flush every 2 years, engine air filters, cabin air filters, there are 3 of them. 2 small ones and 1 larger filter. Idler pulley should be looked at. Fan belt should be inspected and changed out too.

Be aware that this engine is known for bore scoring. Nothing can prevent it except maybe oil changes every 5k miles. There is no definitive evidence that frequent oil changes prevent scoring, it is simply the only thing the user can do.

Check cam position sensors and cam magnets for signs of oil in the harness connectors. Common problem and relatively straightforward solutions. Hundreds of posts written on this.

Small plastic oil and water tubes and pipes crack around this time or the 100k mile range. Well documented on this site. Simply replace them.

Is those parts easy to replace? Or does the engine have to drop in order to get to those? Ive heard on replacing turbos or parts around that areas the engine has to drop in order to access. Not sure tho but heard about it. Can someone validate this?

All documented on this site. None of the jobs are “easy” but they are all DIY-able if you have skills, tools and a garage.

Did you end up pulling the trigger on this? Regardless, can you share pictures? Seems a bit high-millage to me but I would probably put that many or more on any Mercedes with a "AMG 63" badge on it. Price could be all over the place but probably in the lower tier due to not having a clean Carfax which is to your advantage. Check to make sure it has had at least the 8 services done. It is coming up on its 5th "A-Service" (90k miles) which is typically an oil change, fluids, wipers, etc. However, at this milage, other items may need replacement.

GLE 63

I have a '17 GLE 63s with 31K on the clock. I replaced the brake pads at 15K with ceramic pads because I was tired of the brake dust. The ceramic pads solved the problem. I change the oil every 5K miles which is the key to longevity. It has a Chrysler 6-speed transmission that's virtually bulletproof. My main complaint is the Conti tires which are noisy. My tires have at least 20K miles left, but it will be Michelins next time. I think the AMG guy was mentioning a high-mileage GLE 63. Mine has been virtually trouble-free but I don't beat on it either.

Your car has a Mercedes 7G box in it.

I fat fingered the tranny gears. Actually, I was thinking about my '07 CL600 which is a Chrysler 5-speed.
