53 HYBRID ""AMG RIDE CONTROL""

Hello everyone!
I’ve just ordered a Mercedes GLE 53 AMG Hybrid and I’d like to ask about the AMG Ride Control option which I can’t find in the configurator.
I even tried looking in the German configurator, as I ordered this car through the Romanian configurator. However, I couldn’t find the option to choose AMG Ride Control in the German configurator either.
Do you have any ideas, any thoughts about this?

Thanks!

AMG Ride control is standard, are you asking about Active Ride COntrol? May be unavailable with the hybrid.

I wasn’t aware that there is both AMG Ride Control and AMG Active Ride Control.
Essentially, I’m interested in the system that enhances the car’s stabilization during driving.
And why wouldn’t the Hybrid version receive this system?
Could it be because the batteries make the chassis heavier?

AMG Active Ride Control became unavailable to order on the 53 sometime last year. It's only available on the 63. The 53 has AMG Ride Control standard and the 63 has AMG Active Ride Control standard. If you want it, you have to upgrade to the 63.

That's only for the US market as far as I know.

As for the reason it's not on Hybrids, it may have to do with space, weght, or any number of other reasons.

Ah, you are right. I wasn't aware of the 53 HYBRID. It's not sold in the USA. We only have the 53. I see AMG Active Ride Control is available on the 53 in the German configurator, but not on the 53 HYBRID. So yes, that's probably due to packaging. No room for it with all the hybrid hardware.

hello, early models of the 2024 had active ride control option but it was removed from the 2024 models later down the line, I ordered my car with active ride control but I know others who got the option removed from their build sheets after ordering. I don’t know why this option was removed, Maybe it was replaced with something else? Honestly not sure, same thing with red brake calipers, they were also removed from 2024 53 models but they come stock with the 63s model.

There are also some discussions regarding the brake calipers. On the standard GLE 53, the red calipers are standard, and for the grey ones, you have to pay over 2k euros, while on the 53 HYBRID, the grey ones are standard and you pay 800 euros for the red ones. 🤷🏻‍♂️😁

im so confused i thought there were only 2 gle coupes the 53 and the 63s, what is the “53 hybrid” and why is it not on their website? Also im almost certain the 53 still comes with silver calipers even if you don’t go with the performance brake option, the only thing performing brakes change is the size not the color.

The 53 HYBRID is available in Europe, but not in North America. I wasn't aware of it either until now.

Yeah, i think it's only for Europe for the moment.
As you can see in this 4 pictures the brakes are different and the expensive ones are for free and vice versa If You choose 53 or 53 hybrid... It's so confusing.

53 Hybrid - grey included and red +800
53 - red included and grey +2909

MBUSA announced it back in October (I think that was the same day as the global reveal) but it's not due in the US until mid-late 2025 as a MY2026. Don't know if that's due to expected European demand/imited supply or because they want to let issues get ironed out before they make a US launch.

From that it sounds like the suspension is actually all new.

Newly developed suspension
The AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with adaptive damping was specially developed for the GLE 53 HYBRID with new hardware and software. It offers a balanced combination of adequate acoustic damping for purely electric driving in combination with the sporty character typical of AMG vehicles.

In addition to new passive stabilizers on the front and rear axles, the hybrid model is equipped with new stop buffers in the front struts and completely new dampers on the rear axle. The software has also been completely reprogrammed. The tuning of the chassis, ESP®, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive and steering is tailored to the GLE 53 HYBRID to deliver a balanced, dynamic and confident driving experience.
