Hey guys, we're moving back out to Montana and I'm selling the GLE63s. Here's the listing.

Please refer to the window stick for complete list of factory equipment and options. Ours comes with the rare Califonia Beige Leather interior option with no scratches, cuts, or tears on the interior. Back seats look new, don't even look to be sat on. Alcantara headliner looks new. As noted on the first 2 pictures it will come with a 5 year / 60,000 mile warranty with roughly 4.5 years and 55,000 miles left on the bumper to bumper coverage and 4.5 years left on the Permaplate paint warranty. It will come with brand new wheels and tires. Less than 400 miles on them and they are warrantied though Discount Tire which will come with the sale.

Whelp, I'm lowering the price again. $47k OBO. I have a truck thats in production and should be here within 2 weeks. The GLE has to go!
It comes with a 5 year / 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. From the time of purchase there will be about 4.5 years and 55,000 miles left of coverage.
I'm baffled as to why it hasn't been scooped up yet.

A person with good credit could probably borrow $36,000. At your new price, they still need $11,000 down, to get an 8-year-old car.
To many buyers, your upgrades hurt the price because people want to see how it was done, and by whom. And they might wonder if it's been driven to death.
I think you need to be in the 30s. I still wouldn't be a buyer, because the 167s are so much more car.

How does Edmunds, KBB, and these other appraisers come up with these numbers? Seems like they just pull them out of their a$$ to F*$k people.
Good luck finding one that doesnt have a bunch of miles on it, not beat to s*@t, or have mechanical issues under $45k. Even $45k is soft AF. Especially with one that comes with a bumper to bumper warranty.
If a person can only get approved for $36k, they have no business buying a GLE63s to begin with and should move along.
As for the mods.... they want to see how it was done? As in they want to see how downpipes are installed or the RennTech vent to Atmosphere diverter valve which was installed by RennTech? Thats a simple question to ask to receive documentation that a PPI can verify.
Sounds like you're looking for a steal. Not going to happen here pal, move along.

get their prices from dealer sales and auctions.
You asked why nobody's interested in your $20,000 over book pricing.
I was just giving you some insight. You can do the same. Just enter your VIN in any valuation guide.
I've handled a lot of auto loans in the past, and what I said about buyers is true.
You're going to have to find a cash buyer, who wants something just like you have and is willing to pay a huge premium for it.
There aren't many buyers like that. If the dealer will give you $37,000 trade-in, I'd snap it up. You'll save on sales tax. (Edit- I doubt a dealer would get anywhere close to 37k. It'll be a hard car to sell, because of the issues I mentioned above.)
I'm certainly not interested in a 166 AMG. Pal.🙂
Further edit:
Since in some ways yours is a special interest vehicle, you might follow a couple of auctions on Bring a Trailer to see how they fare, and the comments. A Renntech E- Class and a Brabus B800 167 GLS.
You could also list yours on BAT.

@mikapen hit the nail on the head w/ regards to finding a cash buyer. Did you factor in the cost of your mods into your asking price? What price would you ask without the mods? Edmunds, K Blue/Black Book and the like prolly couldn’t care less about the mods a person puts into a vehicle when doing their appraisals. Or perhaps they do and give it a lesser valuation than one without. Mods are for a special segment of folks. Certainly helps that you have an extended warranty but we all know how service departments “can be”. Not always the case though and I’m sure you have a descent relationship with your SD. Great looking vehicle nonetheless; good luck with sale. Good advice @mikapen on trade-in tax savings.
