I'd call it Satin, but the most vulnerable parts are the polished and clear-coated silver parts.
I think that if you get to the "whatever" black, your wheel is likely beyond repair.

This picture was taken on the showroom floor recently, when I was in for a service appointment. Took this picture at an angle, to show the "matte" nature of the black on the wheel.
The wheels themselves were on a GLE63

I’m leaning on saying they’re Satin cause they feel smooth not rough and have a shine to them probably tough to touch up exactly. One rim had to be touched up recently after getting scratched and they used matte clear coat and it’s not an exact match. My local Mercedes Dealership will redo and use satin clear coat and hopefully will be 100 percent correct.

Not that good looking of a rim, IMO. Reminds me of the Lexus LC500 tulips, as we call them.

I personally like these lights, but would have preferred them to be all-silver, rather than this mixed coloration. All Silver in the exact same design, is available in 2025, if "Night Package" is not on the options list.
In my case, the fender flares are black, and hence these lights match pretty well.

I actually preferred the 22 inch AMG Black rims but they weren’t available with all seasons therefore decided on the 21 inch with all seasons. If I lived in a warmer climate I would have bought the 22 inch option. Overall I’m happy with my decision provides for a comfortable ride with no need to switch tires in the winter months. Satin/matte is good description seems combination of both and tough to touchup unless you go to professional shop.

Tried the specialized wheel place didn’t match the factory color or texture. Going to try the dealership I been using for years apparently they have their own people that do it and they seem more knowledgeable. Hopefully they can match other three rims. I was going to get new rim but they said they can match the factory finish. The shiny black finish is easier to replicate as opposed to the Matte Satin.

The Indy doesn't want to deal with retail customers. I visited his shop and saw a very efficient but small operation. He was proud of his shop and products, but didn't want to chat.
My curb rash repair was virtually invisible.

Update
I had the rim clear coated by my Mercedes Dealership came out excellent as can be seen in the picture. It is best to visit your Mercedes dealership if there are curb rash or scratches on these rims especially if you have a Matte or Satin rim unless you have a great rim repair person.
