“Clunk” noises GLE 53 Hybrid
I’ve been a proud owner of a GLE53 Hybrid for two months now. So far, I’m very satisfied, but I’m currently experiencing a strange issue and wanted to ask if anyone else has encountered this as well.
When starting to drive or when the car is rolling slowly and I gently press the gas pedal, I hear a “blub/tick”-like noise. It seems to come from the drivetrain or the underbody of the vehicle.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any idea what could be causing it?

Mercedes gle 53 hybrid
Shifting problems hybrid to petrol or electric mode
Hi,
have the same car now for 4 months. I feel the driving line so mich. In electric mode somethimes really smooth nothing to feel. But every day a few times a chunk or chock whyle driving fully electric. When on comfort/hybrid mode. Lag when jumping from electric to petrol in the drivline driving normal or slow. Shift 2-3 and 3-4 many times with a bump or shock. Are u feeling the same in yours? And are other 53 hybrid drivers feeling this? Went back to the dealer in NL after 2 days updating nothing changed.

They promised to analyze the sound using special recording equipment. I’m currently waiting for a new appointment.

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue. I’ve already visited three different dealers in the Netherlands. They all indicated that this sound occurs in all GLE53 Hybrid models. They tried to convince me that it’s a characteristic of the car, but I didn’t accept that explanation. It’s an annoying sound that significantly reduces the driving pleasure.

sometimes shifting is super smooth but from 2 to 3 almost all the time not really and sometimes really bad. Also driving electric. When hopping from electric to petrol sometimes lagg in te drivetrain. 90% is perfect but the 10 % not so much. For a new 100k+ car should not be right?
