Should I buy a 2025 GLE63s or will there be a facelifted 2026?

My dealer said there is a 2026 facelift but he has no details on it as of yet. Not sure if that would be for a 63 anyways. Seems like a lot of 2025s for sale - like almost 700 on autotrader right now. I'll be traveling extensively across the US end of this year and all of next year, and want to find a nicely optioned white one so as to fly under the radar. I don't feel comfortable doing it in my Urus Performante, which I'll sell because of a one in one out policy. I had a 2022 GLE 63s coupe a while back. There's quite a few things I like better on the MB, especially safety features which is important to me. Although, the Urus is a much better built and more reliable car. I had several problems with my GLE 63. MB isn't what they used to be, but most of us know that by now. So how much can I expect to negotiate off a 2025?

If you’re in the US then 27 would be the refresh, not 26.

In the US and you are right. I did get a DOG for 2026 after I posted this and really no changes at all for the most part. Will be interesting to see the combo of price increase and tariffs. I'm assuming the 2027 is going to be uglier, heavier and have more screens. Tis the way everything is going nowadays.

Agree and may be a PHEV. The rumors about the 2026 being a PHEV is why I ordered a 2025.

Will the GLE63 have a tariff if it's built in Alabama?

Yes, because the engine and transmission is from Germany is what the GM at the dealership said. I asked him that exact question.

It’s more than that, “assembled in the US” is about the extent of it. Almost none of the parts are made here.

The main change seems to be the headlight and taillights, there might be some truth to the different screen for the interior, I think that was what was spotted in spy shots.

We are not sure if the car will get MBUX 3.0 or get the new MB OS. system first seen in the new CLA.

Maybe it's just me, but Mercedes' gratuitous use of the star emblem on everything and super large star on the grill is getting a bit tacky. I always thought that Mercedes was understated elegance, but that is seemingly disappearing with each new model. With the rapid depreciation of our vehicles, I plan to keep my 2025 for a long time. @W205C43PFL - Good links. Thank you.

I'll ask here real quick. Is there a way to get rid of the hugely, gaudy/tacky/fugly chrome star - without affecting distronic? Wrap it, peel it off... anything?

Sorry, I might not be understanding which particular one you mean, you mean the grille or the centre MB star?

The big giant one on the front grille in which the front radar for distronic is behind.

Oh that one, I seen people tint the ring instead to preserve the function of distronic, it is usually not recommended to tint the entire emblem, the three pointed star part.

That grille almost caused me to skip MB the last time.
It's gauche. Like I'm a poseur.
Now the Twinkle Twinkle little stars are everywhere.

It's like Chris Bangle found a new victim (us).

Should be able to wrap it / tint it without loss of performance. The radar unit behind the star (I'm inferring that's where the distronic antenna is from your post), is not going to be defeated by a thin piece of plastic. If you want to feel safer about it, wrap / tint it with non-metallic film... though, not sure how big of a difference non-metallic vs metallic would make in this application.

Would love to see some photos of this if anyone’s had this done. I don’t love the huge star up front either and have considered putting a tint or wrap on it.
