Wasn't sure which sub-forum to post this in but I have a 2019 GLE 43 AMG with an upgraded grill, so comparing the look to the newer ones, I don't see much of an exterior difference (I am not saying there are identical but to "me", not really worth upgrading to something which looks very similar to what I already own). So I was thinking maybe I should go for a GT coupe this time. Was doing a little comparison and would love to hear from you all to see what you think about the GT Coupe! I don't mind one just like the picture!

I absolutely love my GT 4 Door Coupe! Although it’s on the E-Class platform, I consider it a full fat AMG. The interior is the perfect mix of new and old IMO. A fantastic version of MBUX, the amazing styling of the dash from the last E63 but even better looking with its unique centre console. The exterior look speaks for itself, gorgeous. The handling and performance is in a league of its own. Lastly, it’s a rare and unique AMG, it’s not a performance version of a regular Mercedes.
All in all I’m more than satisfied and love my GT 4 Door!
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, but keep in mind you’re going to lose a considerable amount of interior storage as it’s not an SUV.
Thank you so much for your great comment, very helpful. What a beautiful ride you have! What year and model is that? As for the storage, do you mean the trunk space or interior space in general? It would be only me usually, maybe the kids too, No road trips or anything but it would be my everyday car. I love my GLE but when I started looking to upgrade, the style and everything else were very similar to what i currently own, plus the newer ones (mild hybrid) come with so many new features that when I test drove them I could immediately notice the lack of performance and other flaws.

Both, it’s a coupe/hatchback so the trunk space is somewhat limited but still very reasonable considering it’s a sports car! Kids and adults fit easily in the back seats, leg room is quite decent. Headroom, given its sloped profile, would be uncomfortable for anyone over 6’2. More than adequate for kids.
Mine is a ‘25 63 S E-Performance so I have even less trunk space due to the battery pack, but me and the girl can pack bags for a weekend away along with a couple cases of beer without resorting to using the back seats for luggage.
If it’s gonna be your daily and you’re not doing road trips with the wife and kids, you’ll have zero issues.

This GT four door coupe was the car I initially wanted to buy but I guess I thought it was too long when I saw it in person back in 2019. That was the car I went to buy initially and I was used to sedan back then and the GT felt too low to the ground. Now that I have a SUV, it might be hard to adjust. What did you have prior to your GT?
