GLE 63S Major Issues at 30K Miles
Dealership had it for a week being unable to update the computer stating there was an issue and they would open a service ticket with Mercedes USA.
They finally responded today that the transmission valve body/control unit needs to be replaced along with the oil cap cover which is the wrong size and not closing properly.
Dealership quoted $3500 for replacement including replacing the oil cap cover.
I was about to take the car in for making the metal clicking sound when turning steering wheel right and left (wheel bearings?). Started happening a few days prior, very noticeable in parking garages.
Anyone else have anything to add, other maintenance to check/get done while it's in to avoid further problems or any similar experiences.
Waiting for quote on the wheel clicking sound and surprised at such a big failure so early.

The dealership wasn't able to update the computer because I have a stage 1 tune on it.
Their solution? Replace the entire transmission control unit...
Replaced the loose oil cap and cleared the code to see how it goes. Based on their inspection nothing else is wrong.
Wheel clicking is the wheel bearing/lug bolt issue that their currently investigating and will update with results.
Couldn't pull any CEL code because computer hasn't been updated in over 2 years since I tuned it and don't have the original to flash it back.
Based on what I'm hearing about removing start/stop and making the pops and bangs quieter that's not something I'm interested in.
