Any remote starts after Mbrace ?

Wondering if anyone knows or installed a remote start on there GLE. I currently have a 2018 GLE 350 and always utilized the remote start from Mbrace. Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a remote start. I know it is always been an issue for Mercedes in the past but I figured id ask

Thank you

No experience or relation, but Mid City Engineering is a sponsor here. You will have to sacrifices one of your key fobs. If you need both, factor in another few hundred dollars for an extra key fob.

Quality products, I've installed their kits on my 2015 CLS63s and my 2018 E63s . Simple install if you have time :-)

Yes, you can add one. The factory Mbrace/Mercedes Me remote start can be added by a dealer if your car was pre-wired for it. Otherwise, a good aftermarket option is the Fortin or Mid City Engineering module. They integrate cleanly and keep your OEM key. Find a specialist installer who knows Mercedes wiring. It’s the most reliable route.

I thought the older models utilized 3G and that is why the MBrace will no longer function for the older vehicles (3G no longer supported by the cellular companies).

There was a model year or so that had 4G that had mBrace, the main problem is they are discontinuing both 3G and mBrace so even for those who have 4G, as long as it is mBrace it has been rendered in-op.

I have a 2018 GLC 43 and understand that Mbrace has been sunset / deactivated. It’s really unfortunate that Mercedes did not plan for a standard upgrade path supported through the dealerships.
Question: How reliable are these aftermarket solutions? I’ve seen several posts saying they can drain the battery if installed incorrectly, but I haven’t found clear guidance on how to prevent that. Does anyone have experience with this?

Good question in the case of a W205, which is similar to your vehicle, you may ask the thread owner for an update: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...tall-tips.html you may also ask the company as well:https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...wn-coming.html
