The GLK Inventory Leader....Take A Peek
Your Sign and Drive Offer on your website --- is that MB Financial backed?
What is the residual and money factor for that offer in any case?
The 39 Month money factor seems high. I am trying to figure how lease a GLK for LESS than I can lease an ML priced 10K higher.... any ideas?
By the way i think this is what sexybeest means by overpriced
I am in the same camp with thoughts that these are indeed overpriced. Lease an ML for less monthly and much much less CCR. These GLK's just dont lease well at all, IMO.
I looked at both the US and Canadian prices for the RDX and the GLK, equipped similar to my own GLK order. Here's what I found: in the US, the RDX is about $3500 less than the GLK. In Canada, the RDX is only $1500 less, equipped with similar options and accessories (in the case of the RDX).
Remember, the RDX has a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine and the drivetrain is essentially front wheel drive with "slip & grip" rear wheel drive. The Acura/Honda drivetrain is not in the same ballpark as the MB 4Matic, which is a full time 4 wheel drive. Of course, the GLK offers many other examples of superior MB engineering, such as the Adaptive suspension and a highly refined V6 engine.
It seems to me that the Canadian GLK price is even more aggressive than the US price. In any event, it looks like the car will be a success in both markets.
Can't come close to that on the GLK -- with current residual and money factor -- unless you are willing to CAP COST GLK at invoice as well. Even then it falls short, but at least it is in the ballpark
THAT'S what we mean by overpriced
Offer a deal on here even close to the ML deal -- prove us wrong....https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif
Still rather have a ML350, same monthly, much less CCR.
Considering this: MBUSA is advertising a $549/month lease, 48 months, 10k/year, $4394 total due at signing on a $52,545 msrp.
You think you can get $530 with 0 down for 39 months? On a little more $$ car? OK

It makes sense....shorter term, 4K+ less because 0 down and lower payment. Remember, I do this every day. Even at invoice, this payment is not possible, trust me. And, I look to do business, not push it away.

And there is 2000 lease cash and 1689 "dealer contribution" -- which you know already.
My local dealer has 59 ML350s -- would be THRILLED to CAP COST at INVOICE -- minus the lease cash and dealer contribution...
So let's do the math, take Mercedes favorite example, with P1 and heated seats: $52545 MSRP -- INVOICE = 48928 - 2000 = 46928
Let's do 7500 miles a year, my wife doesn' t drive much -- so residual = .44
52545 x .44 = $23,120 residual after 48 months
CAP cost at invoice minus 2000 lease cash, and only HALF the dealer contribution, call it $850
So invoice minus 2850 : 48928-2850=46078
Depreciation = 46078 minus 23120 = 22958/48 = $478 monthly
plus interest 46078 plus 23120 = 69198 x .0008 = $55
so 478 plus 55 = $533 per month,
no CCR on a 2009 ML350 with MSRP of 52545. The deals were even better in December, you can check the ML Threads and the leasing threads --
See anything wrong here? No.
And if not, isn't it true that you cannot lease a GLK close to this deal?
Most of us are on this board hoping to obtain a GLK, but you are the guys who need to get REAL...

If anybody on here is looking for a great ML deal, I would be pretty confident in saying that we can beat a LOT of deals out there.
Could you post the details (residual/money factor) on the 48 month lease on the GLK your site -- the "Sign and Drive" --- trying to calculate if that could be a better deal for me than the 39 month advertised lease...
thnks
Across Canada, the GLK is also selling well with dealers pleading for more product.
If any forum members work for BMW or Acura, they should be concerned about the success of the GLK.

I could not have said this any better. It took about a week for them to catch on, but now you cannot keep them in stock and dealers are not willing to trade any out
