21" rims and lowering for the GLK
I'm sure everyone has seen the brabus tuned GLK. My question is whether 21" wheels and tires are actually available and what lowering kit to use to enhance the vehicle appearance to be more like the brabus version (if anyone has started looking into lowering/21" rims).
Not that I don't like the way it looks already, but this will be more of a toy car for me and I want it to look the best it can. I understand the tradeoff with bigger wheels but this car will probably never go offroad.
Thanks!
Misty

It might not have suspension at all.. could be just the rims.. this truck sit pretty low stock.
Enjoy the prices on tires if your going 21" better to go 20 or 22

Lorinser offers 21" wheels on the GLK. See the picture with the silver RS8. Also, you can fit 22" wheels on the GLK . See the picture with the black RS9. In addition to the wheels Lorinser offers a set of springs for the GLK.

Where can I find the springs? They dont have anything on their site for th GLK.
They have a chip for the C350 I wonder if it would work on the GLK

Hi,
The Lorinser front bumper will be ready to ship this week as well as the lowering springs.
@MercPlease, I posted some pictures of the GLK with Lorinser 21" RS8 (silver wheels).

Chris,
Can you give us as much detail as possible about the springs, e.g. how much do they lower the GLK; do they produce a more sporting ride; is the ride then harsh, etc?
I would like to lower the GLK about an 1", and wouldn't mind the ride being just a little bit firmer, BUT I would not want to ruin what is a great riding vehicle.

I would have to say that the Lorinser bumpers look real nice. And, I am not a big fan of usual Brabus or Lorinser mods.
Chris - do you guys completely replace the factory bumpers (front and rear)? Or do you just add on to them? Wondering because of Parktronic sensors and what this would do to warranty. And, how much is the rear bumper? Install price would be appreciated too.

Lowering Springs
Hi, with Lorinser lowering springs, your GLK will be lowered approximately 30mm which is about an inch and a third. This is the perfect amount to reduce the wheel gap caused when you run plus sized wheels and gives your GLK a nice clean look. Our setup is not overly aggressive, and while you will see a sportier increase in handling performance, it will not create a harsh racecar-like riding environment for you or your passengers. After all, the GLK-Class typically is not used for racing applications, and our spring options reflect this. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thanks!

Unfortunately the technical specs regarding the Lorinser spring rates are considered proprietary information so I am unable to provide these figures to you.
