My GLK just got delivered to the dock in Germany waiting for a ship assignment.
Just got an email today from my dealer telling me my VIN# etc.
Was going to look back for the tracking site, but you guys served up the info right here. Will be tracking my GLK from Germany to Los Angeles harbor, 30 minutes from my home.
Wait has been tough, but I have done it before and it is so nice to get a carbuilt to your own spec. Don't know if it makes any difference, but factory workers know they are building a "special order" car. Car gets shipping and arrival port priority processing.
Sounds like a herd of GLKs headed for NorAm.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

My dealer provided print out of my GLKs build sheet, including its VIN# and PO#. Dealer said car was at German port last Wednesday, waiting for a ship assignment.
I have entered my VIN# into the "cargo ID" box on WWs tracking site, referrenced above each day and no record comes up each time.
Am I missing a step or do cars sit for days waiting for a ship assignment?
Regarding footmarks note above, two dealers have told me they only need two hours to prep cars that arrive from port. two or three days makes no snese.

Does any one know after unloaded in Halifax, can you still track it? The ship my car was on docked on 5/5 and no updates from WW logistics since.

My GLK has been sitting in port of Bremem for a full week and my VIN# only produces a message "No Record Found".
Regarding tracking ability, Canadian Owners thread has much more detail and discussion. They were talking about sketchy, no tracking response mid-atlantic and in port.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Any interesting info about vehicle in the VIN#? Not obvious to me.

Well, after being told my GLK was sitting on dock in Bremen, dealer called to say their Star System tracker was just updated for cars in transport and my GLK is on ship Glorious Express #9089 and due in port of LA ETA of June 8th. May be ahead of schedule because ship has delivered its customs CCI for review by customs already.
Dealer said their system had not been updated since May 10th and my car went on board ship May 16th or 13 days ago.
Ship or VIN# still do not show on the two tracking sites referenced above.
Good news is my GLK is not sittting on dock in Bremem as dealer thought.

I went to marinetracker site posted above, clicked on Vessel and entered my GLKs ship name, Glorious Express, but it does not appear. Any recommendations?
Ship left Bremen on 5/16 and ETA Los Angeles is 6/8/09.
I find pictures and info on ship, but nothing in maritime tracker???

DAMN, last week, my dealer told me my car was approaching Halifax soon, he said the train ride from halifax to Vancouver would probably take 2 weeks, so today i called him up to check again, he said the car is going to board the train on Halifax soon, it means probably I will have to wait for 2 more weeks!!!!! So frustrating!!
