Interior grab handles

I recently saw/sat in the GLK at the dealer. I really like it, and would consider it for my next Mercedes. One thing that wasn't becoming, and wondered if anyone else noticed this:

On two GLKs, the interior door grabs handles made a "crunchy" (plastic on plastic rubbing together) sound when I grabed the door to close it. Anyone else notice this and have it fixed?

Hmmm....haven't noticed. Possible as there are some plastic pieces fitting together. I've been pretty stisfied so far in terms of build quality. No squicks/rattels on crapiest roads, yea NJ is prolly one of the worst states. Hopefully it'll be same way in the years to come.

I've been in used RX350, and every bumb on a highway resulted in a squick/rattle, wow after 15 min ride I had enough.

crunchy sound

i noticed the same thing - was going to have the dealer look at it whenever i bring it in for service. can't believe they are like that for all the cars, seems to obvious for them to not notice.

So you guys made me go downstairs to check this cuz I had no idea what you are talking about, I still don't. I just pulled on all of those door "grabers" (the ones with aluminum piece, right?) and nothing. I wish I had a video to proove, but pulled on that thing back and forth with doors shut and open, nothing.

Maybe I don't pull them hard enough every time and they haven't gotten loose?

Yea mine have done it since about day 2 wit the truck. And as of now, I have a lot of squeekyness goin on in the truck when it's in motion. Especially from the dash! I absolutely love the look of my GLK, but the quality of a true Benz is not there. And in my opinion, a $50,000 vehicle should be put together right! I bet u if you sat in an Audi Q5 you wouldn't be able to find one moving piece, or hear one rattle from anywhere in the cabin. Big let down on Benz's part as far as build quality goes!

Hmm.... I tried it this morning, no squeaks anywhere including the door grab handles. Cabin noise and rattling was the first thing I checked out when I picked up the car as this is one of my pet peeves especially with brand new cars.

Right now the only thing that bugs me is the rattling in the cup holder when there's a soda or water bottle in it. That plastic on plastic sound as it doesn't have any lining. Maybe I'll get a neoprene lining or something.

Not sure if it will go away as summer is coming. Hopefully those loose fits will expand into place?

That's what I thought. I'd expect those squicks in cold weather, but yesterday was cool 48 degrees. Have to wait for winter to see. We should have a poll to get more stats on this.
