Bumping an old thread.
I'm going to potentially purchase as 2012 GLK 350 (w/ 67K miles) tonight for my wife. She has already test driven the car. I'll see it for the first time tonight.
I've spent the day reading on this forum trying to identify potential trouble areas, but figured I'd ask first hand as well.
Being 100% new to MB, Any specific things I should look for/check?

4Matic or RWD?
What does the CarFax say?

RWD.
Carfax showed 1 owner, only the first couple of services were at MB, other service were at generic indy shops.
We went ahead and purchased it. Seemed like a clean vehicle. I'm trying to hear if transmission service can be verified. Otherwise, I will probably have the trans fluid replaced as a precaution.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome!
I would replace all the driveline fluids (transmission and rear diff) if they've never been done.
Probably plan on spark plugs in the near future as well. Hopefully the CarFax documents regular oil changes and all required filters.
If you plan to DIY most of the basic stuff, stick with the MB spec fluids. For oil, look for MB 229.5 on the bottle. Most of these should be 5w40 flavor. Same with the transmission fluid, make sure your mechanic uses the proper 7G+ fluid 722.9 spec it calls for.
How are the tires? If still on the runflats, consider non-RFT for a much better ride and handling. And of course, post some pics!
