Down to two tire choices: Michelin Latitude X-Ice vs. Bridgestone Blizzak DM-v1

Well winter is around the corner, and I would like finalize my tire choice. Wanted to hear people inputs, since I am pretty you guys have done your share of research as well.

I ruled out the Pirelli since its an all season, just want to play right and get proper winters. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Guys I am trying to work out a price with mercedes replica's. Going to see this vendor hopefully tomorrow afternoon. Would people be interested in group buys, I am not sure of prices yet. Just trying to get a feel here...

I would like to get an idea what tires people like, so maybe I can ask for volume prices, and see what I can do. Also would 18's be good, or people prefer 17's? I am leaning towards the 18's, since going for 20 down to 17's is a little to much difference in my view.

Earlier today MB quoted me $3960 for their 17" winter tire package, I'm sure we can do better than that.

Definitely 17's here...and yeah, alloys are a must. Can't see myself rolling around in black steel rims! MB replicas are pretty common too.

I have an appointment with my tire guy on Saturday, so I'll also share the details on what he is offering...

Perfect, nothing in wrong in trying to see what else is available and what's the best price we can get.

Our overnight low the first of next week is supposed to be 1° C here in the Eifel. Expecting a hard killing frost within the next two weeks.

I grew up in the Midwest and my granddad always said the first frost would come during the 1st week of October. Then my dad moved his prediction to the World Series timeframe. Even later now I think.

haha it's all a cool I know your winter comes a bit early.

You guys need tirerack.com in Canada, I get stuff from them in 2 days max, sometimes next day, it's especially nice when tire has to be replaced. Their price is always the best, too.
