2010 Mercedes Benz GLK220 4Matic BlueEfficiency
Had a 2010 Renault Samsung SM3 for almost 3 years now. Exactly like the one in this pic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:NEW_SM3_RE.jpg
Today, officially upgraded to a 2010 GLK220 BlueEfficiency 4Matic.
Pretty big upgrade!

2010 GLK replaced my 1998 Buick Regal GS
Sounds like a crappy car, but it was excellent. I bought it, because my newer gas-guzzling GMC 3/4 ton that I needed for our 5th wheel trailer was going to put me into bankruptcy.
The old Buick started showing its age though and it was time to step up.
Love the GLK - have an issue with transmission right now though. BUMMER!

2007 BMW 328i and 2002 ML320 - consilidated to 2011 GLK
Bimmer was really treacherous in the winter as a RWD vehicle, but otherwise hated to part with a such a reliable and spirited 3 series sedan. The 2002 ML was starting to act up.
Baby on the way. Safety is a top concern.
Shopped for alternatives:
- Volvo XC60: similarly priced to GLK, but oh so bland
- Audi Q5: smaller space, and more expensive
- BMW X3: not a good value, might as well spring for X5
- Acura RDX: a bit too small
While shopping, it seemed that most owners didn't want to part with their GLKs, very hard to find one-owner vehicles for sale. Perhaps a testament to how reliable and desirable they are.
Most of what we found were 2010s off lease, and available 2012s are almost all dealer loaner cars.

We actually went through a similar process and had similar thoughts on the 4 cars you mentioned above. Also, we had difficulty finding 2010 GLKs for sale...the one we finally purchased had been a corporate car for a year before our local dealership purchased at auction.

GLK 2013 (appearance package, Premium 1 Package, Multimedia Package, Black on Black), Lexus IS 2008
2002 Jeep Liberty-->2008 Land Rover LR2-->2013 Mercedes GLK. Both other vehicles had problems even while still under warranty. I wanted something reliable, smooth and quiet. My husband is so jealous, he wants to ditch his Lexus IS!
