New GLK Owner - Different interior
Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I just picked up my brand new GLK two weeks ago. I was gonna order one but the day I went back to the MB dealership for the paperwork they had just received an unsold one (still had the plastic over the hood and protective seat coverings and everything). This one was the same colour I wanted but had a ton more options. I bit the bullet and spent the extra $10K and I was pumped since I longer had to wait three months (just the weekend to sort out my insurance).
Specs as follows:
Obsidian Black/ Cream Leather Upgrade/ Wood Trim/ Premium, Navigation, Sport, BiXenon and Ambient Lighting Packages/ KeylessGo/ Dual Sunroof/ MM Interface/ Sirius Satelite Radio.
Anyways, I have been browsing the net for days and I can't seem to find pics of a GLK with the same interior as mine. I see many with the cream leather and the cream Artico but none are the same as mine. My entire interior (panneling, dash, consol, healiner, footliner, mats) is black with the exeption of the light cream leather seats and the burl wood trim. Also my cream seats have black leather piping on the contours (similar to the look Maybach cream seats).
Since I didn't order the vehicle custom, I don't know what interior option this is. Anyone know?

Cream leather and wood? Sounds too nice. We just couldn't hold out on our original order and got one off of the lot. We settled for the MB tex and stainless but we got all of the other extras we wanted. Congratulations on the new ride!

Our interior color is called Almond/Black since it is two tone. We have the exact car but it's a 4Matic with the Sport Ap. Package/20" Wheels as well.... very common around here.... but it may not be it exactly the same...

From your description, it sounds exactly like a Saks Fifth Ave Edition. Someone posted a topic here awhile back saying there was a tie in with Saks and MB on the GLK, something about getting a gift card. Usually every year MB and Saks team up for a special edition, so this year could be a GLK. The Saks C was set up exactly the same way, all black interior, cream seats, Obsidian Black exterior and nearly every available option. In previous years they have used White Diamond exteriors, but the cream interior seems to be a standard for Saks Edition cars.

i've noticed in some interior pics that people have memory passenger seat on the door panels. what package was that part of or is it a canadian feature? i have the P1 which does driver seat only?

They are coming, I promise! We are just in a ridiculous cold snap here... the daily highs are still subzero. I am just waiting for it to warm up a little so I can wash my baby and take some pictures (the forecast says +5 by the weekend). I was stupid to not have done it when they pulled it in to the showroom when I picked it up...
