Not to rain on anyones parade but I have bought 17 new Cars since 1990. 15 have been GM, 1 Ford and 1 Chrysler. They spent less than 5 Days at Dealership Total for Warranty Work. GLK 6 Days in first two weeks. I know everyone probably has their own horror story about any brand but its frustrating when it happens to you. The whole MB experience has been bad. I will probably drive it for a year and get rid of it. I may at some point buy another MB but it won't be from the same Dealership. My wife has a 2010 SRX on order. I'll see how that works out.

My inlaws had Chevy van for 10 years with a couple of repairs and Malibu for 5 years with no problems. My friend bough used saturn treats it like $h!t, which it is, and had no problems. There is a lot of luck factor. I've been pretty lucky with GLK so far, but it's way to early to tell.

2010 Barolo Red-Almond/Black GLK 350, 2008 Cadillac Gold Mist LUX III DTS
I owned a 97 Chrysler Town and country minivan. Only had to take it back to the dealer once. In the 6th year, the bracket on the serpentine belt broke.
When it came time to replace the van, the cumulative advertising and word of mouth finally overwhelmed me and I bought a perfect Japanese car.
A 2003 Nissan.
It was back to the dealer 6 times in 6 months.
Sometimes for multiple problems.
It ended up with the 4th new CD player.....I should have bought a japanese CD player..i understand that Japanese electronics are perfect.....wait..I DID buy a Japanese CD......Several times......
I became a regular attendee at the Nissan shop.
I saw lots of other new cars being worked on...........
Seems to me that a LOT of people, insecure in their choice, have lots of problems with the "perfect" Japanese cars........and lie about it.
Cars are much more complex than they used to be.
But my Cadillac at <> 1 year, has been flawless.
I'm pleased with the GLK so far (6 Weeks) with the exception of a manual tail gate that opens too high, and brake shoes that were designed in the 80s and 90s and are still turning the front wheels of a 2010 Mercedes, black.
I put custom wheels on the Murano.
I would never do that on this car.
