I just filled up today at a Kroger w/93 Octane (7 months) and had no problems with the nozzle shutting off. This is the third time in the past 30 days with no problems, so I tend to agree with the tiime factor. I'm also amazed that the mpg is getting better with time and with AC being used.

What I do is pull the nozzle out just a bit and tilt it towards the back of the car, and then I don't have a problem. You have to get it just right, or it is annoying!
