Thanks
I'd personally try to get more than $2500 off, but for a custom ordered car, you have to do what makes you happy.
So if the E-Class 350 line up which can cost almost double loaded depending on the model coupe, convertible or sedan are not getting the new engine till MY12 and C-Class will not get the new engine till the redesign for MY13 either and loaded is costlier than GLK. What motivation does Mercedes have to offer new more powerful, more expensive engine in cheaper models? They are going to release the engines first in more expensive models so people do not buy the cheaper models because they are faster or more efficient than them the more expensive ones. Mercedes has made no comment on when the SLK, ML or GL are getting the new engines but all 3 of those are having redesigns between now and MY14 so they might be getting the new engines with their prospective redesigns just like the C-Class who is currently getting all the attention because of the impending coupe and convertibles being added to C-Class line up.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The suspense is killing me, I wish they would release the Invoice already. It should be coming soon because my car is due to arrive the first week of next month. Shall see...
The reason for that is many times car sit at the VPC for weeks before being released to dealers as Mercedes does a controlled released each MY even if the car is not a redesign. Models are released earlier or later based on the amount of inventory on the ground which is why all models are not released at the same time always.
Mercedes also does not release a price lists of a model normally until about 10-12 days prior to release.
While I have not worked at any dealership in years, I assume things have not changed drastically either and if anything Mercedes is more than likely even more controlling today than they were back in the early 90's when I did work at a dealership in the back office.
