i want 2 know what kind of oem xenon bulbs that glk is using on bi-xenon headlight? coz i want 2 upgrade 2 a brighter xenon bulb, like 8000k!!! and where i can get it???? thssss if u know!!!

 

8000k is a measure of the color of the light output. An 8000k lamp actually puts out less visible light and is illegal for street use in North America.

 

+1, stock 4300k provides the most light output

 

oem bi xenons on NA glk is D1S. i have 8000k and have had no problems with cops. i have been pulled over twice this week and no mention of the headlights.

and yes they put out a lot less light then the stock hid.

 

yea I don't think 8k are illegal and most cops would not know the difference.

Once you get into 10-14k when it becomes purple, then you my get some questioning. But it would depend on a state and a cop.

 

ths all, gd i got the bulb is D1S, coz i have 2009 bmw e93 n 2009 mini cooper s JCW, both i put D1S 8000k, cool i can use the same temp colour on my glk

I assume you mean stock xenon bulbs.

I have the non-xenon headlights(wish I had spec'ed the xenon package when I bought the car!).

Is there a decent upgrade that will give me the whiter color, good output and not mess up my electrics?

What about the aftermarket LED modules that replace the parking lights; are they any good?

i got the d1s for my bimmer n mini in toronto canada, or u can go on wed bimmian.com 2 ckech it out, i have no idea about the parking light or the led light, coz this is the first MB i ever get, n my glk is coming on this Nov, still waiting, i have the AMG pack n the premium pack on, in white colour, actually, all my cars are all white...

if anyone know about the eyelid light or the parking light, please give me more info, cos i wold like 2 match all the light colour

actually, those aftermarket H.I.D kits are pretty good in the market now, but please make sure u get the error cancallation kit, then u will be great, my bimmer n my mini both have aftermarket H.I.D kit for the fogs...match with the headlights awsome....
