Tire question...
It looks like there is only about 4-5 to choose. I want to get something that is all season and has some decent tread life. Suggestions?
Does she have 19s or 20s? Tirerack.com is best source of such informatoin.
I'm verry happy with OEM 20inch Pirrellis considering the crappy roads I drive on. Will most likely buy them again. I'm at 16k miles and they look fine.
I looked on Tirerack and would like to get the all seasons they have but it seems like the reviews and rating are not nearly as good as the summer tires. She does a lot of commuting so I am looking for something that will not need to be replaced in 15-20K.
What reviews don't show is that summer tire is dangerous in sub 40 degree weather even on dry road and unusuable in snow. Ppl who have summer tires usually have another set of rim/tires for winter.
Also keep in mind that low profile tires tend to get bubbles, and the OEM have been pretty good and durable. 33k on 20 inch rims is pretty good life. If you want longer lasting tire you'll have to get to 17-18 inch size with another set of rims. I'd say go with OEM, they are pretty good imo.
Also did tires get rotated?

There is always a trade-off when it comes to Performance vs. Wear vs. All Weather etc. It all comes down to cost. Keep in mind that wide tires are not very good in the snow even if they are all season.
