rmfnla's question was answered! MB also included a jack in each car. That doesn't mean that the preferred method of raising the car is through the jack... does it now?

They get out just as much or more of the oil since they go into the pan at the lowest point.
Safer,faster,thorough.
lastly if you have big pieces of metal you have way bigger issues to worry about.
Been changing oil on several of our Benz with this factory method for years never had any of the problems your uninformed opinions project.

Second, my authorized dealer doesn't have a clue how to load the contact from my iPhone into my GLK, so they don't know everything either.
When you are talking about your dealer who are you referring to? The salesman, or their trained audio-visual installer? Also, last I heard iphone was not made by MB!
Jeezzzzzzz! Someone has a chip ohs!

Otherwise the thread will need to be closed.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, that was good!
In any case I was surprised the oil looked so used. The last car I did the break-in oil change on looked almost new.
Hope everyone had a good New Years.
This is just my 2 cents. I've been around few engines in my life from small 3 hp generator to M1 tank engines from my time in the military. I've done hundred(s) of oil changes and engine services. Now I'm not saying using suction evacuation machine method is wrong, but IMHOP draining it from the plug is better. I for one don't think MB, BMW, etc.. really worry about cars 10 or more years old out of warranty.

I had this on my old '99 Odyssey and '05 Pilot and absolutely like it. I'm thinking of putting one in the GLK after our 3 year pre-paid maintenance.

Actually you cannot easily install this on the GLK if it's equipped with a 4 Matic. You need to know what you're looking at under there. It's not your typical pan with a drain plug., especially with 4-Matic
Is the engine oil drain plug obstructed somehow?
