glk cabin filter

so i am 300 miles away from my B service, and there is no way i'm paying $100 for the dealer to install the cabin filter. i can easily do it! i have seen Mann-Hummel cabin filters on ebay for the glk going for $28 shipped.
the c350 filters goes for alot cheaper, as low as $15 shipped. Mann-Hummel says the glk and c class share the same filter, but some sellers say they are not the same. has anybody bought a cabin filter off ebay or other sites for the c350 and determined if it fits a glk350?

I don't think too many ppl are close to B service yet. You were one of the early buyers. I still have another 2 months before B service.

I just got mine, haven't even made it to "A" yet... but I agree with you that it's a user servicable item and paying 3x the value to have it replaced is nuts...

I haven't bought cabin filter online, so far, however does the MANN-FILTER Catalog North America (Online): http://www.mann-hummel.com/mf_prodkata_usa/index.html?ktlg_page=11&ktlg_lang=1&ktlg_01_fzart= 1&ktlg_01_fzkat=0&ktlg_01_mrksl=579&ktlg_01_mdrsl= 34,

show corresponding MANN+HUMMEL Group P/Ns for the 350 C-Class and 350 GLK cabin filters.

BTW: By clicking the GLK350 4Matic and - the Cabin Filter CUK 2551, there is a link to a neat DIY replacement procedure called "Mounting instructions": http://www.mann-hummel.com/mf_prodka...u/HB5JXdhG.pdf

I've replaced it twice already (drive in dusty road often) using Mann filters with no issues. (I posted the simple procedure last year in this forum). In fact I use Mann filters all over the car, (oil, air, cabin etc.) with absolutely no issues, so you should be good to go.

Seems that it fits more than one vehicle

Auto Parts › Filters › Filter, interior air › MANN Filter, interior air
Filter, interior air for Mercedes C, E-Class, GLK-Class, SLS

Went to a site and put in CUK 2551. There were a dozen pages with CUK but no 2551.

On page 2 shows filter and cars it fits

http://www.mann-hummel.com/mfus/uplo...BINO6Pca8O.pdf

Could not find a place easily to buy

Amazon.com is where!

DUAL AIR

Link for Mann GLK-350 Filters: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...or+GLK&x=0&y=0

For some reason Amazon no longer has the Mann cabin filter listed. It was the least expensive too! Link: http://www.mann-hummel.com/mf_prodka...obackToPage=11

Here it is on E-bay Motors for $20.00! Link: http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_...506.m270.l1313

Mann Cabin Filter

Plus here are some Great GLK Cabin Filter Installation Instructions: Link: http://www.mann-hummel.com/mf_prodka...u/HB5JXdhG.pdf

And here's another cabin filter by Purolator but it's way too expensive, and it has a three week wait!! No deal! : Link:http://www.amazon.com/Purolator-C458...ar=1&carId=002

I have inquired at a MB dealer for cost and "how to tip" on getting this done.
Just curious myself if this is DIY or do is really a MB tech's cup of tea?

Need to get in touch with dealer tomorrow....
Not sure who makes MB filter?

Will advise of cost...

OEM cost updated!

They are $50 MRSP...and I could get them for about $40 US.
Here in Canada...they are asking way too much

MBRedux...yeah...it's an easy install....

I have used Mann everything (air filter, air cabin filter, oil filter) with no issues. I have over 50K miles on my vehicle.

The Mann parts fit perfectly. No issues.

You really have to beware of the other brands. Others are much cheaper, but the quality is not the same. For example, the air cabin filter needs to be charcoal-activated. If you read carefully, the others brands do not meet this requirement, although they will fit perfectly.

The oil filter is really important. Mann filter is about $10 for me. The other brands may be cheaper by like 1-2 dollars, which is not worth the decrease in quality.

GLK350 4matic
My GLK was due its B service recently. I decided to change my air and cabin filters to save myself so money. Found Mann filters available at my local NAPA parts store for about 1/2 of what the dealer wanted for them.
