I don't think this posting and the picture is appropriate for this forum at the moment.

This picture was taken at the Frankfurt (Germany) airport right after 2 US Soldiers have been killed and 2 others seriously injured.
(The killed bus driver is still inside the bus)

But the purpose of the post is the car and not the incident. If we go that route then discussing anything about cars would be inappropriate since X number of people (not US servicemen alone) died in auto accidents yesterday.

My concern was more the picture and not the discussion about cars.
In my eyes, using this pictures where the killed US Service Members are still in the bus is not good taste. The OP could have used another picture of the "airport security" GLK or should have just written about it.

If you not aware. This was a terrorist attack, which happened yesterday.

I would have preferred it like this:

It's okay Allan. I'm sure the post wasn't meant as an insult. I have no issues with it.

I've been overseas recently and GLK's are everywhere... big seller. Even cabbies, service vehicles, police cars, you name it, the GLK is a work horse for sure!

Mercedes Benz in Europe are not equipped generally the way they are in the US. Not to say that you can't get them that way but MB's in Germany are like Chevy's in the US. Maybe not in pricing but they come in more stripped down versions. The same goes for many other makes in Europe.

True, however are we given a "tool" to do so. When ordering the "stock" GLK, we had optional 6 packages to choose from and on top of that some 60 single items. Gives us some flexibility - and a lot of frustration when ordering.

I'll double that - unbedingt! A little late though.

In my opinion - no. I have never seen a presentation of a vehicle, with such a picture relationship, in any automotive forum before (maybe I am not very observant).

What I do see, are discussions related to cars, with pictures zoomed on vehicles - or with "neutral" surroundings e.g. on shows, in the nature etc. In newspapers do I see service vehicles as a part of an accident or incident, being the object - not the subject.

I'm curious as to why the German Airport security forces would have "Airport Security" in English on their vehicle.

Airport Security is still Airport Security in English or German when I run it through "Google Translate"

Airport security translates into "Flughafen Sicherheit".

More and more English terms find their way into the German daily language....and the Frankfurt airport is an international location. I assume more people at the airport understand airport security than Flughafen Sicherheit. Btw. the airport security is not the federal or state police of Germany, it's a contractor, a private security firm. It is part of "Fraport AG" , the company which manages/operates the airport

yea, same goes for E-class and 5 series, those are cop cars and cabs in Europe.

Glad there are so many others who agree that GLK is great car for whatever use.
