I have only had my GLK350 for a week, and it's my first Mercedes. I was driving at night in some traffic and the auto dim was on in the rear view. The only thing that I could see of the car behind me was the headlights and the lighted Mercedes logo. It was a very cool sight to behold. If I wasn't driving, I would have taken a picture.

In preparation for the last week of a cold snap and daily temps dipping below -30C, made this custom grill cover. Two years ago we had a similar winter and GLK took some beating. The air charge intake temp sensor, coolant pump vacuum change-over valve... pretty much any electrical unit between radiator and front of the engine would freeze up while driving and throw a CEL. Not to mention that the operating temp would just not be sustainable while in stop-go city traffic....
This cover helped a lot last week At the highway speeds, operating coolant temperature was around 90C, in stop-go traffic about 60-70C. Overall, it was worth materials and time ... and probably saved a few frozen sensors and headache of replacing those.

I am new to this platform and looking forward in learning some DIY I am already thinking of doing an interior wrap on this one because I dont care for the brown wood trim. I need to find a thread on how to remove the interior trims without breaking anything. (:p
