2011 pricing and clearance?

I test drove a 2010 model with the amg package and I liked it. Fortunately someone else bought it taught after my test drive so I got an offer for the 2011 model, exact specs.

4matic
P1
Multimedia
Amg package
Heated seats
Harmon pardon sound

Msrp total to $48,845
Sale lady said discount of $4000 on all 2011 glk so it's around $44k plus tax etc.

Is this a good price?

The 2012 was on the lot too and she said it's not much diff in pricing but not much discount.

I thought yours is RWD. His is 4matics.
So it should be above 40k with AMG and Harman Sound.
AMG package invoice is at 2000 and Harman is another 8000.
You probably can shoot for 42.5K

--UPDATE--

We went to the MB in Sacramento and saw a 2010 GLK with P1, AMG package and Lighting package for about $46k MSRP.

This Steve "floor manager" said he wouldn't let it go below $41k. I said good luck to him find a person buying at that price since 2011 were still in the lot with similar specs and MSRP plus 2012 were there too. He was quite rude and being an ******* about it when I told him this.

Would you guys have done the same thing? seriously, 2010 with about 250 miles for $41k.. is he nuts?

True, 4 matic will add another 2k. However Amg should only add 1k since thats the diff between the appearance and Amg. Hk adds another 800. So with these prices he should be able to wrangle a 2011 for 42k since I was offered the same car as mine in 2011 for 38.5

I say you were perfectly right in telling him off. I make it a point never to deal with rude salesmen ever again even if they later come back and give me a stellar deal. For my car I had a similar experience at MB riverside, he later kept calling us to get our business but I would not go back to him. There are perfectly professional people out there.

I think so...I just bought a 2010 demo GLK350 (4,900 miles) in Mars Red with p1 and sport appearance for $34k. A difference of $7,000 seems steep for 4,650 miles and AMG and lighting package.

Considering that in 4 months that vehicle regardless of its production date will be a 3 year old vehicle. I wouldn't care if had 1 mile on it it's still almost 3 years old. He must think consumers are not that savvy. But as they say "There is an A$& FOR EVERY SEAT"

^ I think dealer doesn't know what he is talking about or too honest. There were no AMG packs on 2010 models, so it gotta be 2011 model (perhaps made in 2010). So it's probably 1 year old, as 2011 model didn't come out as early as 2010 model did.

41k is still way too much, unless there are more options. And who even cares about MSRP of a used car when it was new. Back in 2009, 2010 models were selling for less than invoice and I'm sure dealers take that into consideration during trade-in.
