Just so we all understand GLKChick is in the U.S. She is trying to figure out about black or chrome roof rails. The fact that the vehicle selected was a European version had nothing to do with the grills, as the tri grill is not available in the US but it is on the M Class. So if we could concentrate our efforts on helping GLKChick that would work to everyone's advantage. If there are errors point them out don't kill the guy (gal).

GLK 350 (soon I hope!)
Thanks for the summary, MKenM! Hopefully, my indecision will be resolved by the end of the weekend. I'm making a trip out of state (two hour drive) to take a look at the arctic white GLK with the appearance package in person.
If I come back, and I am still undecided between the standard or appearance package, everyone is officially encouraged to ignore me!

2010 GLK350
I bought my 2010 GLK in Germany and picked it up at the factory but it's all US spec, with the AMG package. You can see the chrome roof rails with the white paint. I really enjoy my GLK and love the look. I'm one of the only Americans to have the packages I have over here.

2013 C350, 2012 GLK350
Here's a pic of my 2012, white with sport package. It's a U.S model picked up at the factory. I can get some better pics of the side and inside tomorrow. I also have the special order black ash wood trim.
