Where do you buy Air Filters, Canada?
I went to Mr. Lube and they quoted me $100 for pair of air filters, plus labor for replacing them. I am engineer myself and I would like to replace them myself. And I know how to do it and it is pretty easy. But the problem is to find Air Filters for a decent price. Ideally, I want to replace Air Filters every 10k kilometers, if I can find them for a low price. I found a pair of air filters on amazon.com just for $30 (so it is $70 in savings).
But they are not shipping to Toronto.
I searched a few other local OEM stores in Toronto and they offer them for $50 (not sure if it is per one or per pair).
So I am wondering where you guys purchase Air Filters in Canada for GLK and what is the lowest price for them?

I'm going to resurrect this old thread looking for an update, are there better places to get air / cabin and oil / fuel filters in Canada? Autopartsway has Mann air filters for the GLk250 for $54.96 CDN and still free shipping with $100 or more.
I also have a US drop i can use whats the best online source that ships into New York free or reasonably - i may go that way, the filters seem pricey, it may just be the filter but i was buying them via amsoil for my last suv for 25 usd....
Cherrs thanks for looking ...

For OE parts in Toronto, try the guy in the quotation below. Another good source is Germanparts.ca. Their website is useless, but they do have a facebook page. Try emailing them with your needs. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from them.
I'm Randy working at Exoparts. If anyone in this forum needs parts, we'll give you an automatic 25% off MSRP if you mention this thread on Benzworld. This is our 20th year in business and we currently stock over $4.7M in GENUINE MERCEDES PARTS in our 7000sf warehouse (SW Mississauga). FTR, we also sell Genunine parts for all other European marques.
Call-in phone orders only (no walk-ins). There is no retail counter/showroom.
Please have VIN info (last-8) ready when calling!

I would stay as far away from those guys as possible. They sold me some oil filters for another car that were so badly made that they did no filtering at all. And then they would not recompense me in any way. You find out a lot about these companies when things go wrong.

So went into a "parts source" today, listed as Mann dealers on the Mann US site, well (now no slight on the guy he was trying) they should hire people that actually know cars, he asked what make, i said "Mercedes" he asked "Mercedes-Benz"? Really......
Next they only carry Mann oil filters, no other filters, they carry a limited line at that, wow (shakes head) and not one filter for the glk....
"Must be dealer only" said the more experienced rep, well i said Mann has ALL the filters, your a dealer and yet have none and can't / won't order or price them, AND i can get them online out of Toronto....
I left.....

Try autopartsottawa.ca. Haven't used them yet but their prices are better than USA. I'm in Fort Myers for the last couple of months and thought of stocking up, but with the $ so high, I second guessed and searched this out. I'm going to assume most parts are aftermarket, but nothing a phone call wouldn't spell out....!
For stateside, I have used http://www.rmeuropean.com/ and been happy with them.

Amazon does not list the Mann filter for GLK250.
There are quite a few of them listed for GLK350.
I have seen some were listed on fleabay however.

I'll have a look, is it just me or does it seem oddly difficult to find simple air filters, i was an amsoil dealer they show nothing for filters, local stores nothing, we need to make the glk alot more popular so we can get these in the corner 7/11...

Ok i seem to be getting a bit of confusing info, many dealers talk about a filter that fits a "code" xxx model, how or where do i find or verify this code for i'm assuming engine type which would dictate filter shape...

So i checked out several sources,
pelican parts, USA Based, i emailed to confirm the correct filter and got a prompt response with good information, a part numver AND he told me the model codes from my VIN, pricing in the $35 dollar range. I would have bought here if dollar was more on par..
I contacted exoparts as suggested by 107123210 (thanks ) i did get a good fast response, pricing was not the 25% off they said for mentioning The forum, it was a bit higher ($2 bucks not breaking the bank) with filter pricing at $52.00 Canadian loonies. Cabin filter near the same cost. Shipping $8.99 quoted.
Contacted Germanparts.ca and initially got the wrong filter quoted, i saw the error and i sent my vin back asking to confirm and they recognized and corrected the error providing the part number and their responses were polite and reasonably prompt. Pricing was $45 for air filter (mahle brand), cabin filter $35. Shipping $11.99 with pay pal link for payment.
Ultimately i went with German parts and bought 2 air and a cabin filter, with this price it was not worth persuing US suppliers given the 25+ % buck differential and im happy to buy in Canada as well.
If any other canucks or our USA friends come up with great suppliers please post them
