2013 glk has arrived to canada
I just touched every inch (in and out) of the new glk and even rode it for 20 feet and I will say that I am soooo happy I got the old boxy SUV. The car is being hidden on a Vancouver MB dealer and I was told that they cannot show it yet until the end of August so lucky me that I saw it and even rode on it. The inside and front fascia is so curvy now that it looks funny even the salesperson also didn't like it. I'll be back there in two days and I'll ask the salesperson to let me have another look at it and I'll take some pictures for everyone to see in HD. The truck is a paladium silver with AMG, lighting package, command, P1, comfort package as from what I saw.

2013's are at a number of Ontario dealerships (not yet in numbers) and are available for a test ride (the dealerships I visited). I sat in the 2012 and then drove the 2013. IMO, the 2013 interior dash is a marked improvement, is now in line with the other models and more of what I would have expected from MB. I would still be very satisfied if I had a 2012.

Ordered our GLK today after a close look at the Volvo XC60, BMW X1, Acura RDX, Subaru Outback, and Infiniti EX35. Selecting the optional packages was challenging for me and at the last minute, I replaced the stereo upgrade (after listening to both) with the Xenon package.
MB Canada website has been updated to include 13' GLK. Towing capacity listed at 2400 kg (over 5000lb) like Europe while the US website lists capacity at 3500lb-Not sure why there is a difference.
I now Need to be patient as delivery is only scheduled for the end of September. Your wait is nearly over. Enjoy the beauty.

Thanks, I ordered everything except leather seats. Really wanted Distronic. Obsidian Black exterior and Artico black interior, Black burl dash. It arrived in Halifax on July 23 but was delayed there for some seat adjustment for Transport Canada, weird. Just got to get here now. I will post photos if you wish. I think you made a good choice as this has most of the tech of an E class or S class for much less $.

A review of portions of the Command and owners manual will no doubt be informative and help kill the wait.
I ordered Palladium Silver with the (Beige-believe it or not) Artico, and brown burl. The balck burl is also very nice. AMG wheels, Premium & Nav package ordered and would have liked distronic (did not want the other components of that package). Plan on purchasing OEM roof rails with Kayima 16 Pro roof rack and mud flaps. After that, enjoy the ride.
Pics would be very nice and any further info on the Transport Canada issue with the seats. Thank you.

I understand, and the black with the dark wood is very nice (yesterday I sat in a black GLK with that interior). I never expected to like the beige interior with a silver car but that was the interior of the car tested and I liked it. The colour clash is not a serious enough issue for me. No doubt a greater challenge to keep clean and stain free.

I sat next to a Black 2013 GLK350 at a light in Tyler, TX August 16, 2012. Paper plates and all. So, they are in the hands of customers.

The 2013 I saw was the typical Plain Jane type that MB of Tyler orders for their lot.
Our 2012 with the Lighting Pacakge was sitting next to the 2013 & I was behind them. The LED turn signals & different brake/tail lights were noticeably nicer than the stock 2013 units.

Well we got it!! Awesome vehicle. Love the Distronic, Blind Spot, rear camera and even the Lane Assist. Very smooth ride.
Yes it transferred the entire address book from my iPhone to the GLK. When my wife connected her iPhone it transfered her address book. According to the manual it will transfer the entire address book of the currently connected phone. Yes it can display and read text messages from my iPhone that has iOS 6 but it does not allow you send a text. Will try Siri on our 4S tomorrow to see if we can send texts with just voice commands on the iPhone.
Bit of a learning curve on the voice commands and Nav. The ECO on/off works well without delay.
We do not have Internet access as no mbrace in Canada.

Good idea! Shop around for pricing. I logged into Car Cost Canada and the designated Benz dealer in Alberta had a much better price than anyone else.
I must say my only disappointment is that it does not have mBrace or even Teleaid. As far as I know this is true of all 2013 Mercedes in Canada. It appears to have the 2012 technology. This is a Canadian issue not a limitation what the vehicle 'could' have. Not sure what the problem is but it my one regret. Otherwise, wouldn't have ordered it any other way. I guess they really mean when they say the best or nothing, literally, no mBrace for Canada.
