Command Audio Fade Out Option

On my 2013 GLK, I've got the Audio Fade Out option checked and the music should quiet down when the navigation system is providing turn directions. However, the music is not quieting down during the directions. The Audio Fade Out option worked fine on my 2010 ML. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same problem.

Did you try unchecking Audio Fade Out? On the chance that checking it makes it not happen? A shot in the dark.

Thanks for the response. I tried that and it didn't make a difference.

I suppose it is time to see your dealer.

Another shot in the dark here.

Did you try to increase the GPS volume?
Next time when you use the GPS, and while it's still talking, try to increasing the volume.
Maybe you have the GPS volume a bit too low that's why you don't hear the different when the audio actually fading out.

I can't speak for the 2013 Nav. System volume, but in our 2012 the Nav. System "voice" can be decreased while it is speaking, but returns to the preset volume the next time it speaks. Ours will NOT stay at a reduced level. I know because I have turned it down repeatedly in the span of a few hundred feet of travel and it always comes back at the preset level 50 feet later. Most annoying.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have turned it up and I can get the GPS directions voice to shout over the music, but still not audio fade out. I called the dealership yesterday and they're looking into it.

Related to the original OP, is there a setting to adjust the volume to automatically lower when coming to a stop?

I'm not sure if the 2013 GLK350 has a speed dependent audio volume adjustment or not. My 2010 ML350 did and it was very noticeable. From what I've read, even if it did have the speed dependent audio volume adjustment, there is no setting to turn it off or adjust it.
