Took Delivery of GLK250 today!
Brand new GLK Bluetec
White, Premium package without roof (useless in past cars i had), Bi-Xenons, Comand Navi. Tires are normal but no spare. Fantastic engine.

We were told there is no way to order PP1 without roof.
Is this in Canada or US?

Congrats, I wanted one in the worst way but couldn't talk the wife into it and ended up ordering a GLK350 (4/15/13 build).
As for the no pano roof, that should be no issue in the US - in fact we originally ordered ours without pano but I managed to talk her into adding it after we took a solid roof loaner out for the day she realized though she didn't like the pano it's better than having no sunroof at all

Have to thank you for starting this thread. Called my dealer about the sunroof. They were able to get to the schedule before it started on mine, and they were able to eliminate the sunroof, at least so the computer system said. Mine is scheduled to build next week now.

I am in Halifax Canada. MB's for Canada arrive in port here so we may have an advantage in terms of delivery. Got the diesel because my daughter has a Jetta TDI and the mileage she gets just blows me away. It is raining here so it is not so good for pictures.

Snow overnight in Halifax so not good for picture taking but i took a pic of the snow covered car and trunk contents. Under the trunk cover there is not a lot. Under the liner (which is difficult to remove but i got a corner up for a peek) is only a fuse box and the DEF fill cap. No spare.
I'll have to figure out how to get pics from dropbox to here. Only link shows up when i insert link. Help?

Yes. Fill kit, jack, compressor, first aid kit, etc but no spare. Might buy a spare for road trips or throw a winter in the back. I would hate to slash a sidewall in winter in the middle of nowhere..

thanks for posting, exciting to see the configuration in the rear as well. Happy to hear no RFT. I am told that the US delivered GLK 250s will wait until end of may (at earliest) for "official release" curious to hear you fuel efficiency as well.

Here are a couple of quick pics. My ipad would not allow me to insert files so i had to go to laptop. Under the storage area (below the liner) the DEF fill cap is in the lower right hand corner. the liner rests on the steel top of the tank (i think). Anyway, nothing under but the liner is very difficult to remove.

His is a Canadian GLK250. Still need to see if US version has run-flats. The US specs said "reinforced" tires, which the dealer took to mean run-flats. But in either case, there is no spare tire.

Can you get the diesel with the amg bumper? The normal 350s has this as standard. Let us know what fuel consumption you are getting during the cold weather.

Yes to the bumper. AMG package is $1100 in Canada. So far only 65kilometers on the car around town and the readouts say 28.5 mpg (hopefully somewhat accurate). Don't know if that is US or Imperial gallons though. I have a query into MB on that question.

Toggle the settings on your instrument cluster to change the readout from kilometers to miles and you will get the mpg reading. If around town is already like that and in cold weather I will be so jealous as I only get 16 mpg on vancouver city driving. Monitor it more and keep as posted.

I think what 'shotgun' was trying to suggest is toggle to kms and divide by:
USA gal= 3.78 litres
Imp gal= 4.54 litres
One will equal the other 'dash mpg' readout.... No need to call dealer, they probably will have no clue (it's math without any profit
)

The VIN does not tell you anything about tires ( what is the VIN anyways? The VIN for US car or Canada?).
My uncle in Germany checked with MB about their GLK BlueTec - they all there in Germany have regular tires with filling kit.
