2010 GLK350
Just bought a GLK 3 days ago and it says Service B0 Exceeded by 15 days

This past Saturday, I bought a sharp looking black on black 2010 GLK350 4matic with 36k on it from a Ford/Luxury auto dealer. This is my first MB so I test drove it and looked it over best I could. As I was leaving, I noticed the dash said "Service B0 exceeded by 10 days" so I went back to the dealership and told them about it. They said it was due for an oil change and to come back on Monday. Monday they changed the oil but couldn't figure out how to reset the service B0 warning and that they would look into it and get back to me. I did my own research and found that service B requires a lot more than just and oil change. I have a 30 day warranty from the dealer but at this point I don't feel confident in their ability to perform the service that is required nor do I have the money to go out and have it done at my own cost.

Can someone please tell me what exactly Service B0 consists of and maybe some advice as to what I should do?

I at least want present the dealership with a list of whats required for the "service B" service and see what they'll do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I missed this post, which has a list of required services at 10k mile intervals, prior to making this one. I'm going to present this to the dealership this wknd and see what happens. I'd do it sooner but their over an hour away. I'm still open to any advice though.

A Ford Dealer changed your oil??? 1st thing I'd be asking is What oil? filter? did they use??? better be Mobil1 synthetic with a Mann filter. A service 'B' requires a lot of work & parts. Air filters, brake fluid flush, usually brakes, lubing up sunroof cleaning the drain holes, etc. I'll see if I can find a listing for miles, as mine is Canadian. While pressing the dealer, ask him about the tranny fluid change(40Kmiles((I believe)) for the 2010-11). If he agrees to do it make sure he removes the tranny to empty the torque converter as well... 1 time job but even some MB dealers cheat on that.

Notice 98% of that nonsense is check, check, check. Hood hinges?, paint?, horn?, etc. And for this MB dealers charge how much? Can you say ripoff?

Thanks Koenig1. The Ford dealer where I purchased my MB is also a luxury car dealer that claims to service all makes and models. As I previously said, I don't feel confident in there ability to service my car based on my experience thus far. I honestly don't know what to do. I'm going to try and talk to them and present them with my findings.

I agree a lot of the required checks sound like nonsense stuff. If it wasn't so over priced I would just have the garage near my work that specializes in servicing imports do the maintenance for me but I think the dealership should be held responsible for it. I traded in my Lexus with 180k on it for the MB and I never had to go through all this with the Lex.

The checks are nothing.... It's the Replace Parts end that is serious cash!
Replace:
Air FilterE lement.... x2..... $100.
BrakeF luid.... $100
CabinA ir Filte/r Purifier.... $50.
Fluid- A/T ... tranny removal/fluid $400>
FluidF ilter- A/T
... $75.
DIY prices!!!
I know some can find for less, but most Garages are going to charge more than those #'s, let alone dealers will double that!
Good luck..!

Till it's clear/clean through each caliper!!! Not too much....probably 1.5 liter. if you are refering to my suggested $100., it would be any garage's charge... and that's on the cheap side!

Thank you Koenig.
BTW, which brand of Brake Fluid you chose. Can't find DOT 4 Plus in market, although it is recommended byMB.
