Running boards are a consideration as is removing the lower chrome trim from the sides. The latter is held on with double sided tape so easy to reapply. Also added were the alloy roof rails. Quite surprised how different their material is compared to the black pieces. Had them refinished with powder coat in silver. Wanted to go with a charcoal gray to match the background colour of the wheels but $$ more. Another want is a pair of aspheric mirrors.

Running boards isn't practical at all, i don't think it would look good on my GLK because of how it looks now.
